Indian and US navies in a special exercise

A special joint exercise between the Indian and American navies has started.

The Joint Naval Special Forces exercise between Indian Navy's Marco Squadron and US Navy SEALs has begun.
The Indian Ministry of Defense says that the 7th phase of Sangam exercise began in Goa on December 1.
India's Ministry of Defense points out that exercise "Sangam" was first conducted in 1994 and is an important military and diplomatic engagement that reflects the trust and friendship between India and the US.

According to the Indian Ministry of Defence, the purpose of this naval exercise is to exchange ideas and experiences on various aspects of maritime special operations.
The naval exercise is planned to be held for a period of three weeks, during which a number of exercises including maritime blockade operations, direct action operations, combat, jump and special activity operations are to be conducted.
