A Saturday Circular Walk

We decided to have a circular walk using the old fashioned way by following instructions from a print out. The walk was in a nice little village called South Wingfield. We managed to park in a layby and then walked over the wooden foot bridge.

We made our way under the railway tunnel. The instructions didn't tell us that that there was actually two tunnels in the area, so we just chose one at random, which surprisingly was the correct one.

Thankfully, we weren't in the tunnel when the train went over as it can be quite deafening.

From then on, it was all uphill through the wood. I hate walking uphill but it wasn't too long before we reached the top. I don’t understand why people feel the need to carve their names into the trees.

We stood and watched the squirrel for a few minutes, before it realised we were there and scampered off back up the tree.

It was only an hours walk but we've not been in this area before. We really enjoyed it and we didn't get lost, which was a bonus!
