Afrobeat is a music genre that originated from the Nigerian shore. It's played by the natives to express themselves in a unique ways. It tell stories about our stories in a subtle way that nobody feels offended but danced gracefully.

This kind of music is very rich and various instruments are played to form the tunes that's special and unique for the lyrics. Sounds from instruments like piano, drums, guitar, gong, trumpet, flute etc are mixed to be special for that great music.

The lyrics and wordings are mostly based on native language, pidgin English etc. Hardly, one will understand the lyrics which that form the melodic scams. Majority of their musicians are not lettered but are very creative and talented to produce world class music.

There are many superstar and celebrities that Afrobeat have produced. They are great personalities behind the growth of these genre of music worldwide. They includes: Fela, Tuface, Face, Rema, Burnaboy etc. They are known because of their contributions to the growth of Afrobeat. They are good dancers as this kind of music are accompanied with certain moves. Fela is the pioneer of this kind of music. He leads his musical troupe called Egypt 89 to the tour around the world. They talk about the beauty of life and need to have good character.

The essence of Afrobeat is most political activism. Fela used his music to talk about what Nigerians are facing in the hands of military rules, corrupt politicians and officials, whose he called "international thieves", the meaning of democracy, Nigeria and other African countries practices, which he called "demo_crazy" as he doesn't understand it and can be compared in the terms of development and principles with Westerners' democratic process. He talks about the kind of education in Nigeria and advice them, not to teach him "nonsense". He changed a lot of bad narrative and Influence in early days of Nigeria but since they did not work on them. Nigeria still suffers those factors. Tuface Idibe, a legend of this music genre had a song that shake the world. "African Queen" which was used to praise and extol the beauty of African woman. Their physique and characters which are second to none in the world. This music went viral and promote the pride of African woman when others looked down on them. Burnaboy won Grammy award with his album titled "African Giant". In some of his music, he talks about life and suffering of an African man. One of them talk about "breakfast", a Nigerian slang word for heartbreak. He was of opinion that everyone will suffer from it. Either now or later but everyone should look forward to it. Yes, it's common among humans no matter the race, color and background. He teaches some virtues and vices to avoid. His deep voice and abilities to mix words with the music tunes stand him out of others. He is very unique and special.

Finally

I prefer Afrobeat to western music genres because it dignified African man and woman. It talks about our cause, problems and challenges. They represent our struggles and need for better lifestyle
