The world is becoming more civilized everyday and things are gradually changing. I remember when we were always told not to wear uniforms that is very short and must cover our kneees but today, we see schools themselves making uniforms that won’t even reach the knees of their students. That’s not because they want them to always show their bodies but because things are changing and they are giving kids more freedom to wear what they like with some precautions.
What are your thoughts on schools moving away from school uniforms and allowing students wear whatever they want? Would it be a yes or a no for you. Most schools have already moved from the whole school uniform thing. Do you think it's doing more harm than good or vice versa?
I’ve actually heard about some schools that allow students to wear their home dresses in school and there is nothing wrong with it but when it comes to me, it is a big No. The world has changed as I said earlier and will continue to change and it means if we give students the opportunity to wear whatever they want, they will misuse that opportunity.
These days, we see how people expose their bodies online and there is nothing wrong with it because I do that too but students should not be exposed to such so that it will give them the proper sense pf upbringing and when they eventually grow, they will now wear whatever they like. If it is not done this way, so many students will wear the exact clothes that some celebrities are wearing for their jobs and will wear them to school.
That may not even be a big problem until their classmates begin to act funny due to what he or she is seeing.
I know most schoold have moved from the uniform thing but I can boldly say that it is doing more harm than good in school. Now, this does not have to do with the students alone but the teachers too. Do you know that there are some teachers who try some funny acts with students? Now, if they see the body parts of students, don’t you think worse will happen? It’s surely going to happen.
If I have a school, I’m never going to allow students wear what they want. I will make a uniform that will be comfortable for everything and does not mean that it will be an ugly uniform. I know the world has changed and we now have some students who are underage but even smarter than older people but this does not mean we should not help them through the right path of life.
And if there is any school out there that allows students to wear what they want, I hope they do it well and right and not a way of making the students wayward.
