Love is a beautiful feeling, with emotions that can bring great joy and huge satisfaction to our lives.
However, loving someone with conditions, it's kinda risky and it's like creating harmful a relationship.
In this article we will exploring, the between conditional love and unconditional love, and the reasons why it is good to love without conditions.
CONDITIONAL LOVE
Control of condition and so types of law that is based on conditions, sometimes this conditions can be based on specific reasons, why sometimes it can be complex. Conditional love can be based on the outward appearance of a person, height, skin color, hairstyle/hair cut.
While other specific reasons, can be because of behaviors, positions. In most cases people fall in love because of wealth or what they are going to benefit from the other person.
QUALITIES OF CONDITIONAL LOVE
Unconditional love, has so many bad qualities, I would be listing few of them that are very common.
- unforgiving
- terms and conditions
- lack of genuine love for each other
- always nagging
- selfish interests
- always want to be in control
- lack of sacrifices
- always judgmental
UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
Unconditional love, is the reverse or the opposite of professional love. Unconditional love is an unshakable love, that takes others for who they are, without any expectations, unconditional love do not love for a specific reason.
Unconditional love doesn't expect anything you return, it is a kind of love that is not based on a specific character, rather I portrays what and respect of the individual.
QUALITIES OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

- selflessness
- always ready to sacrifice
- empathy
- merciful
- unconditional acceptance
As you can see unconditional love has good qualities, it is best to love a person without conditions, because when the reason or reasons, that makes you love the person are no longer there, you tend to lose interest. Unconditional love are not based on external characteristics, they are mostly based on a person's good qualities.
Conditional love are not genuine, it is mostly based on external characteristics only, with the stated qualities mentioned earlier on conditional love, no one will want to be in love with the person, who love them because of what they are and not who they are.
A MOTHER'S LOVE
A mother's love is a good example of an unconditional love. Mothers love their children unconditionally, a mother would give birth to a child, even when the child is sick, she would make sure she do everything with in her power to make the child is well again. A mother will nurture a child till he/she grows up to become an adult.
A mother is selfless when it comes to loving her own children, the mother's love is consistent, always showering her children with love and care. A mother will make sure her child doesn't cry too much, a mother can risk her own life for her own child to be safe.
Mothers are good example of, loving someone unconditionally.
Just imagine if a mother loves her own child conditionally 🤔
Obviously many things will go wrong, the child would lack love and care, the child will be raised with conditions and would be expected, to reciprocate the love him/her mother is expressing towards him/her.
GOD'S LOVE
Another good example of unconditional love is God. God is the definition of loving someone without any single condition, he wakes us up every single day, he gave us the breath of life for free, he created us in his own image.
He gives us the necessities of life, he answers our prayers, knowing fully well that we are sinners. And one very special thing he did, was to send his only begotten son, to come and die for our sins, so that we are going to have a good relationship with him and our prayers can be answered.
Just imagine how selfless God is, he also answers our prayers in miraculous ways we don't expect.
Just imagine that we actually pay $1 per second for the oxygen we breath in, and if we don't pay we are going to die because we actually need oxygen in our hearts to be able to breathe.
We would all be indebted to God, and if we can't pay , we lose our lives. You see how merciful God is to us, giving us the breath of life for free, loving us unconditionally, answering our prayers for free.
One certain time, I had a conversation with a sick man in the hospital, he had an oxygen tank close to him with the pipes and his nose, then started tearing up and I asked what is the matter, then he said he has not been faithful to God, and he owes him everything, he said all his life he has been breathing in oxygen for free, without paying a dime, but now he can't be able to breathe properly, he now has to breathe with an oxygen tank, and he's actually paying for breathing.
I was actually touched with this man's story, we have every reason to love unconditionally, love without reason, show kindness from your heart, if God almighty can love, we imperfect human unconditionally, we too can borrow a lead from his example.
