DOES IT WORTH THE HYPING?

Some of us are lovers of food and we know how some of the foods are important in our lives, some foods are very good sources of energy while some protect our body tissue, we have different types of meals that are overrated and overhyped while we have some that are underrated and are very essential in our lives.

One of the foods I believe is overhyped is FRIED RICE, I am not saying this meal is not good but if we look at the health benefits it isn't worth it at all, it contains a lot of calories which are harmful to the body but the enjoyment will never allow us to pay attention to it.

Fried rice can easily ferment if you don't preserve it well, it is not a meal that you can make in the morning and enjoy the next day if it is not properly preserved by putting it in your refrigerator, unlike other foods like normal rice, Garri, and others, I am a lover of fried rice but we know how to make this meal differently, some people cook this food with lots of seasoning while some people use too much of fatty oil to fry the rice, I saw a post on social media where a lady cooked fried rice and fry the rice as if she was fry meats, she used a lot of vegetable oil to fry it and drained it in a sieve.

Everyone has their preference when cooking, I have a friend who only cooks this food with just seasoning for the taste to come out, she can add more than ten seasoning cubes and it is knorr chicken at that, we all know that seasoning cubes are not a friend to the body, she can cook two and a half cups of rice and add a lot of seasoning cubes for it to taste better and for that yellowish color to pop out.

Fried rice is known all over the world but the way people overhyped it is what baffles me, it is not that the food has any health benefits, it is just to quench our hunger and feel satisfied, apart from that I did not see why it should be overhyped.

I know fried rice is classic and known all over the world but in my country, people love to serve this food on every occasion be it a naming ceremony, birthday ceremony, funeral, and most of it wedding ceremony, without fried rice at a wedding that means the occasion is not complete, even in restaurants most ladies prefer to fried rice to other meals because of its uniqueness and that is why it is always expensive compare to other meals.

There is no time I go out with my niece she will always request for fried rice even if she just finished eating rice at home, I do not know why people are so much in love or addicted to this meal, I would say in my opinion that this meal is really overhyped, especially in my country, we always neglect the too much fats in which this meal give to the body and enjoy the flavor in other to satisfy ourselves.

We have different foods that are very friendly to the body but we do neglect them and go for the ones that are unhealthy, people look down on foods that are refreshing and body-building foods, for example, bean pudding, people tend to overlook these meals because it is very stressful to prepare but we all know it is rich in protein especially when you add egg or fish to it.

In my opinion, I would say fried rice isn't worth the hype at all because it has a lot of calories and fat which is not friendly to the body and all this can damage the body gradually.
