Description from Strava:
We have now left Boston. We picked up another hire car to drive out to Concord where we visited the home of Little Women author Louisa May Alcott. We also saw her grave at the Sleepy Hollow cemetery.

We had an unscheduled stop in Bedford (not the one I was born in) after getting a flat tyre.

We eventually made it to Hyannis on Cape Cod. Today we hired some bikes from Barb's Bikes in nearby Dennis. We rode over to Chatham on the east end of the Cape along a dedicated cycle path. There were just a few road crossings and brief riding on the road, but motorists were courteous.

Chatham is a busy little place. There are some amazing houses there. We stopped by the lighthouse to wander on the beach and dip our feet in the sea despite the warnings of great white sharks. It was very windy, but some people were determined to sit out on the sand.

We were looking for food so went to the fish market next. There was not much in the way of restaurants, but we saw masses of seals lying on the beach across the bay.

We got lunch at the Captain's Table in town. They do a nice tuna melt. It seems a little odd that restaurants here will serve you crisps (aka chips) in the bag with a sandwich.

The ride back was a little harder, but there are no big hills. That is the longest ride I have done in a while. Luckily it was not too hot and the trail was shaded. They even have some water refill stations.

It is a beautiful part of the world.
