The Psychological Explanation behind the Demon of Comfort.

The body is usually comfortable with having us do little things at a time with the claim of not been able to stress ourselves or just being convenient to the system. According to psychologists, the human mind is controlled by two factors: it is either ruled by a rational factor or an emotional factor.

The rational factor quickly wants to get things done while the emotional factor wants to just stick to the pleasant moment. I have a clear illustration to describe this action, it is the rational factor that tells you to get up when your alarm rings in the morning while it is the emotional factor that makes you hit the snooze button, roll a pillow over your ears and then sleep off.
With the illustration above, it is clear that we have power over the factors analyzed, when we decide to get up from bed the moment the alarm rings it means we have given power to the rational factor who is usually eager to get something done and if we decide to put off the alarm and continue sleeping, then we have given power to the emotional factor.

Growing up as a child we had our parents do almost everything for us, we just had to cry sometimes and they will rush to get it for us but as we started climbing the ladder of growth, the responsibility started slipping away from the shoulders of our parents upon our own fragile shoulders gradually until the time when we no longer have to look up to them for any form of assistance and we eventually have to take care of them also. This looks like the usual thing that should be done but it is not the same for everyone, a lot of people have not been able to overcome the strong effect of the emotional force that even when they are matured enough, they regularly still look up to their parents for everything they need.

Fighting against the emotional factor requires that the individual involved recognizes it as a weakness and is ready to work on it.
Anyone who regularly has to live its life on the grounds of a totally controlled emotional factor, needs to be encouraged to set life goals. These goals will be the major drive or motivation behind overcoming the emotional factor, if there is no source of motivation, it will be extremely difficult to overcome the emotional factor.

It is not a day job, some practical constant effort needs to put in place by anyone who intends to overcome the effect of delay caused by the emotional factor of the mind. I hope you enjoyed reading? Have a lovely day.
