The current era is directly belongs to Smartphone era hence mostly all person have this device these days. Keep Smartphone is easy but keep it safe is too tough, isn't it?
These days we are using Smartphone for various purpose such as banking, utility bill payment, train or flight tickets booking etc. and also for surfing social media sites. There is no doubt this Smartphone has made our life so easy because now no need to stand in queue for banking purpose or utility bill payment purpose. The Smartphone users thinks that everything is safe but the hackers are too smart than users and Smartphone. In Smartphone we use one or two SIM card, now two SIM card holding is a fashion. The SIM card and the assigned mobile number for user from the mobile network provider is one of the main way to got hacked by hackers these days. How i will tell you ahead...
How hackers attacks using our mobile number
Attackers are always keeps their eyes on users social media profile and when users knowingly or by mistake make their mobile number available there then hackers copy that number and after arranging some photos and documents of mobile number holder and then the hackers makes a clone SIM by the help of mobile network provider. After cloning the SIM they use this to receive OTP on behalf of original user for bank account hacking. The real user becomes poor and hacker become rich.
What is the way to be safe from hackers
Not simple but if we can follow then there is 90% chances to be in safe zone such as :
1. we should not share our own mobile number in public social media.
2. Always check your network is available or not, if network gone then immediately contact to mobile network provider. May be hacker has made a clone of your SIM and when he insert the clone SIM in his device network can gone from real mobile number users.
3. Don't switch off your mobile when getting repeats calls from unknown numbers because the hacker do it knowingly so that after annoying you will switch off the mobile and hacker can easily modify network.
4. Don't share your personal details with anyone anyway.
5. Try to check your check bank account balance repeatedly. Also check mobile network always.
6. Always keep your Smartphone IMEI number in safe place in printed format it can help you to delete all available data if Smartphone got stolen or fallen down.
7. Be cautious always.
8. Hackers can call you as a bank executive who has already some information about you and your bank account then they can send an OTP and when you will say that OTP to them your account can be vacant.
I have little awareness about this fraud because in India SIM cloning cases then bank account hacking has been increase and always comes in news that he has lost money when received a call from hackers and reply answer of hackers questions. But again today i read and watch about this here hence decided to share this in project HOPE community.
