Do not talk based on assumptions.

Before you fix a meeting it is only wise that you make your research properly and do not talk about something you have no idea about, having an encounter with someone who is saying trash and still sounding confident about it can be really annoying and it surely makes the speaker appear really foolish, in order to sound intelligent you need to be certain of what you are saying.

Talk in only simple terms that are understandable.

People feel they might be respected as a result of their use of large grammatical words, this makes them spend their entire time on looking for large words, and basically the use of simple words with confidence even produces a better result of respect than big grammatical confusing words.

Do not ignore eye contact.

As a smart speaker who wants to sound intelligent, you definitely do not want to stare at the ground or the roof top during a conversation, you need to communicate with the other party on an eye to eye level that describes a high level of experience. As an intelligent speaker, you want to make use of your hands, your eyes and your body.

Keep your voice on an average level.

While you are trying to speak intelligently, you have to position yourself in a way that your voice is neither too high nor too low, speaking in a low tone might be interpreted to mean you are not confident about what you are saying and if your voice is too high, the person listening to the conversation might feel insulted. As an intelligent speaker, try to keep your voice on an average tone.
