Una semana más emocionada por participar en este concurso, ayer tropecé varias veces para lograr crear lo que que quería, pero una vez conseguí los elementos idóneos logré dar vida a este collage el cual he llamado el jardín de la Gorgona, según la descripción de Wikipedia es un despiadado monstruo femenino, pero que también es una deidad protectora, yo quise mostrar una faceta amable más acorde con la segunda descripción deidad del bosque y todas sus criaturas.
One more week excited to participate in this weekly contest, yesterday I stumbled several times to create what I wanted, but once I got the right elements I managed to give life to this collage which I have called the garden of the Gorgon, according to Wikipedia description is a ruthless female monster, but it is also a protective deity, I wanted to show a friendly side more in line with the second description deity of the forest and all its creatures.
Como dije tuve que probar varias imágenes hasta dar con la ideal, y esa ha sido esta hermosa modelo con un turbante verde tomada de pixabay, como también fue un problemas conseguir el cuerpo de la serpiente decidí dibujar primero las forma y luego colorearla con verde y algo de marrón en la panza de la serpiente.
As I said I had to try several images until I found the ideal one, and that has been this beautiful model with a green turban taken from pixabay, as it was also a problem to get the body of the snake I decided to draw the shape first and then color with green and some brown on the belly of the snake.
Luego añadí algo de volumen, usando pinceles de mezcla y diferente tonos de verde, una vez había definido su cola, comencé a recortar fragmentos de escamas de una imagen que tomé de pixabay y le repliqué por toda la cola cambiando el tamaño según el área de la cola donde iba a ser colocada, también modifique el matiz para hacerlas verdes.
Then I added some volume, using blending brushes and different shades of green, once I had defined her tail, I started to cut out fragments of scales from an image I took from pixabay and replicated them all over the tail changing the size according to the area of the tail where it was going to be placed, I also modified the shade to make them green.
Luego de añadir todas las escamas en la cola, procedí usar un pincel aerografo para dibujar algunas luces en la zona de la cola, también tome algunas serpientes y las coloque en su cabeza, como colándose desde su turbante, me gustó mucho hacer ese detalle.
After adding all the scales on the tail, I proceeded to use an airbrush to draw some lights on the tail area, I also took some snakes and placed them on her head, as if hanging from her turban, I really liked doing that detail.
Luego modifique el tono del fondo para hacerlo más verde, y baje la iluminación, la coloración de su cuerpo reptil se vio más camuflado en este ambiente así que lo deje de esa manera, seguidamente coloque algunas mariposas biolumuniscentes a su alrededor y me encantó el resultado, creo haber conseguido una imagen más amable de como suelen retratarse las gorgonas.
Then I modified the background tone to make it greener, and lowered the lighting, the coloration of its reptilian body looked more camouflaged in this environment so I left it that way, then I placed some bioluminescent butterflies around it and I loved the result, I think I got a friendlier image than the way gorgonians are usually portrayed.
