Hi there, I am Temidayo. Here is my entry for the application to the Newbies Initiative.
The Newbies Initiative is the brainchild of some concerned HIVE citizens who saw the need to have a training and mentorship ground for those who are new to the platform to learn and grow. I see HIVE is generally for those who know their way around already and this is quite unfair to newbies. This is where the Newbie Initiative steps in to serve as a guardian and show the ways of the system to newbies like me. For those who are interested in coming on board, see here.
I am an ardent believer in the fact that no man is an island that is without the help of others, living in this whole wild and wide world won't be interesting. This stems up to the concept of networking. I remember when I joined and was advised to be active all along. I have been trying my best to do so and be known to key people who could possibly be on the lookout for me. The real deal is that you cannot just be a lone wolf on this platform or else one won't go far.
But these and many more are what the NEWBIE INITIATIVE is offering to me on a platter of gold, the opportunity to learn and grow ranging from adequate mentorship to learning from the experience of those who have gone before us in the journey of HIVE. I had inquired about the initiative from previous benefactors and they did well in assuring me that my plan to come on board would never be one to regret. And now I see that they are partnering with the HIVE Learners community. Oh my! I believe it is going to be an awesome experience for me and other newbies.
One of the criteria is that one has to have a reputation below 65.00 and Hive Power below 500 to be eligible, and I currently have a reputation and HP of 56.62 and 58.388(50.329) respectively.
I, particularly pre-HIVE, love to write only on the happenings revolving around me. Now, I am into mobile photography of nature and food most times and I write about food generally too. I am also into data science with a bias for analytics. Nevertheless, I am an ardent reader of other people's posts on Hive - if that could be added as one of my doings! And, I believe as I unfold, more things will come from me.
A big shout out to the whole administrative team behind the initiative, even if not for anything but for the fact that it's helping newbies have a good base and strong head start to eventually grow flourishingly on HIVE. I give kudos to @starstrings01 @eddiespino @aliento for the good work they are doing in the initiative. More power to your elbow. Keep up the HIVE energy!! 💪
