The newbies initiative was initiated to support and guide newbies on matters related to hive. It has been running since last year september and has grown to gain support from @aliento, @theycallmedan and @threespeak team.
This program would run for 3 months, starting from October till December supervising and checking on accepted applicants to the initiative. During these 3 months, there would be tasks given and discord meetings which would be organized between the newbies and I or any other experienced hiver.
Hopefully, I would be able to plan a good time to organize meeting for authors who speak different languages except English. Presently, we have applications from authors that speaks English, Spanish and Bengali. For these, I am in search for translators for these meetings.
Moreover, after each meetings, a task would be given to the newbies to write on.
For example: A meeting discussing about creating an account and Uploading video on 3speak. These meeting would be done by showing them how it is done using the sharing screen feature on the Discord app.
Then each newbie would be given a task to upload a video on 3speak, discussing a certain topic.
Each task given would have a duration of 2 weeks. This is done to give the noobs more time to prepare on the task and during the second week of every task, discord meetings for the next task would be held.
For example: A Discord meeting is held on October 1st, the first task would be given on October 1st with a deadline on October 15th while the discord meeting for the next task would hold on any day between October 8th - 15th and the second task would be given after the deadline of the 1st task October 16th.
All tasks given would be supported by aliento team and I. Moreover, I would be on the look out monitoring post made by the newbies, sharing my thought and also give my support to their posts.
