Good morning hivers! I hope you all enjoyed the Sangeet episode and are ready for Haldi.

Well I don't know about you, but we sure weren't on 18th morning, waking up all hungover from the previous nights party, but how could we miss attending this event after spending weeks on deciding our outfits for each event?😂 So here we go!

We woke up all hungover on 18th morning rubbing our eyes and clearly not wanting to wake up.🥱 By the end of the after-party, we all got really comfortable with everyone in the dorm. Few of us woke up early and started speaking at the top of our voice about what happened previous night, which woke up the rest in the room.😂 We had them curse us for being so loud early in the morning. You could hear one person scream "abbey chup ho jao tum log. Sone do hamein" from one corner of the room, to the other saying "koi inhe bahar nikalo yaar" and the other person ask "sutta hai kisi ke paas?"😂 We had another group sit and talk about the drunk stories from previous night. It's a different kind of cheap thrill to talk about the drunk stories next morning, right?🤭 That's pretty much what our mornings in the dorm room looked like.

In a short while, we had the brides cousin instruct us to freshen up, have breakfast and assemble at the haldi venue by 10:30. Someone at the wedding rightly called it as the BIG BOSS house, and it's funny how we could relate to it.😂

In a span of next 40-50 minutes, we were all ready in our haldi outfits. We got little glimpses of the couple in their haldi outfit and it only made us more curious to get a complete glance of their haldi look. And there they were, looking stunning in their haldi attire, all excited and ready to be immersed in haldi. The energy this couple had throughout is not something I can describe in words ❤️ ✨

Now here's a little trivia on the haldi ceremony for those who are coming across it for the first time.

Haldi functions are a very fun Indian pre-wedding tradition which holds a lot of importance in Indian culture. We put haldi on the face, neck, hands and feet of bride-to-be and groom-to-be and they put haldi on their unmarried friends and siblings. Along with it, we dance, eat delicious food and enjoy singing traditional songs on this day. The haldi paste, applied on the couple, is made by mixing turmeric (haldi), water and oil. The mixture is believed to bless the couple before the wedding.

So that's what Haldi ceremony is all about. Now back to our story, we somehow managed to reach the haldi venue on time (yes, we did reach on time 🥲🤫). The haldi set up was beautifully arranged by the Bowtie team. On one side of the venue, there were chat counters along with tender coconut stall for all the hungover idiots.😂 That's how thoughtful our hosts were.❤️ On the other side was a small set up arranged for the mehendi artists. So all those who wanted to get mehendi stains on their hands could get it done there. Soon the place was filled with all the guests looking gorgeous in their haldi outfits. The place and the people, looked all Haldi ready with the right kind of set up and music.

Soon the haldi ritual began. All the family members gathered near the couple to apply haldi paste on them while some guests and friends were getting their pictures clicked in the beautiful haldi set up. And even before you know it, this haldi ceremony turned out to be a Holi celebration!😂

Everyone around is bursting colour bombs, dancing, splashing water with pichkaris (water guns), chasing around to splash water and what not!! Instead of splashing water on the couple, we ended up splashing water on everyone else.🤦 We were all drenched in water, and still nobody stopped playing. 😂 But I'm glad we didn't, and it was all worth it. It was definitely worth it after seeing the pictures from the haldi ceremony. 😂 The couple then had their photoshoot in the nearby location. We were also asked to join them and splash water on the couple with pichkaris and the photography team managed to get some amazing shots of it.

What a crazy haldi it was!! Or Holi, if I may say so. You'd agree with me after seeing these pictures.
It went on till noon followed by delicious lunch. So that was the haldi episode of #AbhiSabRamyaBharose.
Hope you all enjoy reading this. See you all in the next event.🤭
