Weekends were created to break away from it all. To leave the things of the world behind and to spend quality time with family and friends.
I had to source the first picture to also show you some racing Dolphins a bit later in this post.
Come and have a look!

Now some will say, yeah, but what can we do on weekends? Same old same old?
Well hopefully I can give you a variety of ideas below!

A great idea for couples and singles looking for a fit soulmate! Canoeing and Kayaking keeps one fit and healthy.

Okay, so you don't like the idea above?

How's about this one below?

No! You don't like tracking birds across the ocean?

Well, I think this below will change your mind!

IMG_5976.JPG

What if a pod of Dolphins decided to challenge the birds to a race?

IMG_5977.JPG

You can see that the dolphins are youngsters, as the one at the front peeps at the birds!
But they were going on in a high speed race!

IMG_6056.JPG

I was so grateful to catch this on camera and had I not tracked the birds, I would never have seen this race!
Nor would I have if I sat at home in front of my PC.

Another idea here for the adventurers among us!

Kite surfing has taken off in a big way here and at the start it was only singles that did the flying.
But nowadays people fly in pairs. Two kites with 2 people each in the sky!

Okay, now many among us are more sedate and we prefer comfort.
What will an outing on a yacht do for you?

Just to relax for a day on the ocean, with some drinks and some friends?

Still not for you?

Let me finish with these two enticements below!

The more sedate harbor cruises are also very popular to see all of the historical stuff and seamen working on the huge container tankers. There is much to see in the harbor!

Uh,uh? Still not for you?

Here's the last duo!

You can take a slow trip with Captain Hook on a pirate ship?

Finally this one is for artists!

Go out and paint what it is that you see!

Oh! And here below I have included 2 short videos for you! One of the pirate ship and one of the big wheel!

VIDEO! The pirate ship!

VIDEO! The Slow turning Big Wheel.

And That's All Folks!

All of the activities were taken by me on camera during a recent 4 hour visit to the City of Cape Town, South Africa.
We started off at a place called Sea Point and made our way around to the famous Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.
The Table Mountain landmark can be seen in the background of the second video above.
We hope that everyone that reads this post can sense it's freedom and that I have managed to entertain your mind and soul on this day.
