1st WORM SNAKE Of The Year!!!

Look at what we found!

Well, technically, "we" didn't find it. It was Red-Pepper, although Bugger is pictured below with it. These harmless little snakes spend most of their lives underground, eating worm and slithering through soft soil and tunnels. They can also be found beneath leaf litter on the forest floor. We are blessed to have them on our property, because they are such interesting-looking snakes. I especially like the two-toned coloration of their bodies. They max out at about a foot long, and some have a much brighter belly than the one shown here, which is a pale pink. Enjoy the photos!
