Good afternoon creatives.
My name is Olutayo Esther OreOluwa, I am currently a final year student in the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education, University of Lagos. I got to know about this great platform through a very good friend @leonardo817
I am a self taught artist, a writer and an athlete. I'm also a lover of God, nature, life and landscape.
My artistic journey started about 2 years ago, though the passion for art has always been something that's in-built within me.
During my early years, I loved to go visit the museum, watch beautiful scenarios online and all of that.
I appreciated nature and landscape but my athletic career was more dominant and demanding.
During the COVID pandemic in 2020, I couldn't train as often as I should as all stadiums were closed. I had to resort to personal training indoors.
It was then I looked within and told myself I had to make something out of the burning desire I had for arts.
I told God about it and with the leadings and promptings of the Holy Spirit, I was able to start learning the basics of art.
Art is really wide and versatile. But I love the still-life and abstract aspect of it. I'm drawn towards nature paintings, landscapes, seascapes and abstract paintings. I resonate deeply with them and I find it easier to write meaningful content on them too.
A great artist that I really appreciate is Lena Denya. She's so good at what she does and seeing her works pushed me to become a better version of myself too.
Painting so far has taught me patience in every way..quite funny yeah. But it doesn't hurt cause it's what I enjoy doing.
It's a great opportunity to be here on this platform and I hope to be an asset to the advancement of this great community. Thanks so much for having me.
