Today I want to talk about a subject for many of us is really really relevant right now. And that is how to make extra money.
I don't want to do it in a spammy way like saying I make a thousand pesos just sitting in my couch. I want to share legitimate ways in making money.
It's really relevant right now because of the pandemic a lot lose their jobs. Mostly now are bound to stay at home and a lot have look into opportunities working from home. A lot of opportunities have spotted online but some are also scam.
Here are some things I found while I was also searching online.
VIRTUAL BABYSITTING
Sessions are done online and you just need to do an activity/get engage with the child for an hour or so while the parent can finish another task.
Have not found an opportunity like this in the Philippines yet but in the US one company on this field is care.com
VIRTUAL ASSISTING
This has been in existent for a while now. There is no one set of definition or list of responsibilities for a virtual assistant. Commonly it includes managing emails, calendar management, setting up meetings and updating websites.
TUTORING
If you have a background in education or an expertise in a field like another language. You can sell your service by tutoring.
Parents are turning to tutors to help supplement their children in the new online classes and make sure they don't fall behind.
You can apply on some tutoring companies or be a freelancer. For some tutoring companies they would require you to take a proficiency exam.
TRANSCRIPTION
Art of listening to an audio recording and writing exactly what it said. Transcription can be general, medical or real time transcription.
REMOTE DATA ENTRY
This is act of taking an information a company has received and translating into data that is organized and stored by the company.
Can often be bundled with secretarial or administrative work.
We are entering a precedented time and being creative on how we make money. But we need to be more comfortable with a life that is a little bit digital and remote.
