Daryono explained that in Taiwan, the appearance of earthworms was reported 10 days before the Chi Chi earthquake in 1999.
The Haicheng earthquake in China in 1975 also found the same phenomenon, three days before the earthquake.
"Several other literature sources reveal the phenomenon of the emergence of earthworms before the earthquake event," continued Daryono.
Daryono explained that according to Grant and Conlan, the appearance of earthworms on the surface prior to the earthquake was related to the anomaly of low frequency electromagnetic waves.
In a study, continued Daryono, also examined the relationship between earthworm activity and electricity.
