I Was Just Featured in a Cointelegraph Article that Gave Positive Press to 3Speak and Hive!

Hello Hive Family!

Sorry for the incredibly long title - but there are just so many exciting things happening in this article! In a recent Hive Post I talked about how one of the benefits of the recent Hive price pump was that we got some great media coverage by Cointelegraph. Well, I'm happy to report that both Hive and 3Speak have been mentioned again - and this time I'm actually in the article as well!

Rachel Wolfson, a reporter for Cointelegraph reached out to me saying she was writing an article about Youtube censorship and if I'd like to be quoted in it.

I have not physically had any videos removed from Youtube yet (likely because I am still a growing channel and am flying under the radar), but I'm sure it is just a matter of time. Rachel really wanted to dig into why there has been so many issues with Youtube content and if we knew anything yet - or if we are all still in the dark. I'm in a few "crypto influencer" private chats where people discuss this topic all the time, and so I did my best to sum up some of what I've seen from others. Here's a quote of mine from the article:

“I’ve heard that posting the same referral links in each video description causes YouTube to flag videos as spam. Honestly though, we have heard very little about why crypto content is being deleted. But if large players like Tone Vays and The Crypto Lark can be censored, then no one is safe.”

In addition to this comment, I actually wrote up a whole section as well about why I think decentralized platforms are such an important asset to crypto creators right now. She didn't end up including that part in the article, BUT I was stoked to see it was because she included a quote from someone else about decentralized sites! It was really positive to see both Hive and @threespeak called out specifically. The quote was from @erickpinos, a regular in this community and founder of the Blockchain Education Network. Here's what was said:

"BEN (Blockchain Education Network) has been posting content on decentralized platforms like Hive and 3Speak, but continues to leverage YouTube."

I thought overall this was a well-rounded article and I really appreciated that Rachel put an entire section in there to talk about decentralized alternatives. It seems that 3speak, Hive and LBRY all got really positive press, where Dtube was mentioned for having upload issues - but still an overall good platform to use.

Thought I would share this fun news! I always try to keep you guys updated when I'm mentioned in media coverage - and it was extra cool today because it also included Hive!

Hive on my friends. 🚀

XO, Lea
