Hi guys, today I’ll be showing you all how to make this cute bikini for summer.
Okay first the materials you’ll need are your tape rule, scissors, yarn ,stitch marker and a darning needle.
The measurements I took for this project are: nipple to under bust
My waist measurements and my bra size.
This is an old project wayyy before I joined ecency so I don’t really have step by step pictures but I’ll try my best to explain it well and I’ll be dropping YouTube links at the end of this post. For bra cups I used a 3.5mm hook.
First thing to do is to measure from your nipple to your under bust, take that measurement and make a chain to fit the measurement, after chaining enough chains to fit your nipple to under bust measurement chain extra two chains this is considered as the turning chain and not an actual stitch. We are going to be using the half double crochet stitch for this project. In the third chain put a half double crochet and keep crocheting till you reach the end of the chain. On getting to the end of the chain put two extra double crochet into that same chain, make a chain of two then put two double crochet again into the same stitch then begin making half double crochet stitches on the opposite side, do this till you reach the end of the chain. When you have gotten to the end chain, one or two (your choice), turn your work around and begin putting double crochet into every stitch till you reach the chain two you did at the top. You can put a stitch marker on the chain two to indicate the chain.
Take out your stitch marker if you had one on your chain two before, into the space that chain created put three double crochet stitches, chain two and put three more double crochet stitches into that same space. After that is done continue working on the other side. Repeat this same process until your bra cup fits you perfectly or whatever coverage you’d like
FOR THE BIKINI BOTTOMS
For my bikini bottoms I used a 4mm hook
We are going to start from the crotchet area part and begin increasing till it covers your private part
Make a chain of ten with extra two for turning chain in the third chain, from the hook insert a double crochet in each stitch till the end of the chain makes a chain of two turn your work and continue making double crochets in each stitch till your work measures at least 2-2.5inches, when that is done begin increasing in the first and last stitches by putting 2 double crochet in the same stitch. Do this continuously till it covers your private part, when you are satisfied with the coverage cut off the yarn and attach it to the back of the crotch area row (the row of chain ten) begin increasing again by putting two double crochets in the first and last stitch, continue this process till it covers your buttocks or till you are satisfied with the coverage when you are done, chain one and begin doing single crochet stitch around the bikini bottom making strings on the four corners of the panties when this is done, slip stitch and cut of your yarn use your darning needle to sew in the yarn and your scissors to cut off any excess yarn.
