Saludos, hivsarticos. En la entrega de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una obra hecha con pintura escolar o mejor conocidas como "temperas". Simplemente quise crear una pieza y escuchando música (Spotify en aleatorio), me he dejado llevar por la creatividad.
El porqué sobre hojas de libros es debido a que poseeo muchos libros (algunos completos y algunos deshojados) en estados lamentables que se han dañado por la humedad e incluso algunos roedores, pero sabiendo su estado decidí quedarmelos, reciclar sus hojas y hacer arte con ellos, aparte de la que ya son. Porque cada libro es un portal a la enseñanza, a la aventura o al amor. Además, para esta nueva entrega también utilicé cd's viejos, rayados y deteriorados. La idea sin duda arrogó un resultado bastante pintoresco y quedé enamorada, por lo que creo que haré esto por un tiempo.
Para esta entrega N° 22 les presento un personaje que tal vez muchos reconozcan o tal vez no. Se trata de Gizmo, una pequeña criatura de una película de 1984, "Gremlins". La vi varias veces estando niña porque era una de las pelis para ver en Navidad ya que la historia se desarrolla en esa epoca del año. ¿Recuerdas a Gizmo? ¿Sabes por qué la advertencia de no usar agua? Greetings, hivsarticos. In today's installment I want to share with you a piece made with school paint or better known as "temperas". I simply wanted to create a piece and listening to music (Spotify on shuffle), I have let myself get carried away by creativity.
Why on book leaves is because I own a lot of books (some complete and some unleafed) in deplorable states that have been damaged by humidity and even some rodents, but knowing their state I decided to keep them, recycle their leaves and make art with them, apart from the one they already are. Because each book is a portal to learning, adventure or love. In addition, for this new delivery I also used old, scratched and deteriorated cd's. The idea undoubtedly yielded a great result. The idea undoubtedly yielded a very colorful result and I was in love, so I think I'll be doing this for a while.
For this installment N° 22 I present a character that many of you may or may not recognize. This is Gizmo, a little creature from a 1984 movie, "Gremlins". I saw it several times when I was a child because it was one of the movies to watch at Christmas since the story takes place at that time of the year. Do you remember Gizmo? 1. Para poder empezar, primero tendremos a la mano todos los materiales que necesitamos en un sitio tranquilo, bien iluminado, seco y fresco para trabajar, es muy importante para que nos sintamos cómodos y dejemos fluir nuestra creatividad sin problemas.
2. Para continuar, pegaremos con pega escolar la hoja del libro en la caratula o "portada" del cd que vamos a utilizar. Dejaremos secar y luego lo recortaremos con una tijera por todo el borde del cd, manteniendo la forma circular.
3. Luego dibujaremos con lapiz lo que queremos plasmar, en mi caso será la pequeña figura de Gizmo. Trazos sencillos pero detallados. .
1. To get started, first we will have all the materials we need in a quiet, well-lit, dry and cool place to work, it is very important for us to feel comfortable and let our creativity flow smoothly.
2. To continue, we will glue with school glue the sheet of the book on the cover or "cover" of the CD that we are going to use. We will let it dry and then we will cut it with scissors around the edge of the CD, keeping the circular shape.
3. Then we will draw with pencil what we want to capture, in my case it will be the small figure of Gizmo. Simple but detailed strokes.
4. Antes de aplicar color, me gusta delinear con pintura negra toda la figura, asi que es lo que haremos en este paso. Yo en este momento no poseo un pincel extremadamente delgado, en su lugar utilizo delineadores que se utilizan para el maquillaje. Estas pequeñas brochas diminutas pueden ser de mucha ayuda para detalles muy sutiles. Al inicio era para salir de un apuro pero con lo bien que me sirvieron se convirtieron en mis herramientas infaltables.
4. Before applying color, I like to outline with black paint the whole figure, so that's what we will do in this step. I don't currently own an extremely thin brush, instead I use eyeliners that are used for makeup. These tiny little brushes can be very helpful for very subtle details. At first it was just to get out of a hurry but with how well they served me they became my go-to tools.
5. Para comenzar a aplicar color a Gizmo, inicié con las partes en donde su pelaje es un tono entre marrón y beige muy bonito. Para esto relicé una mezcla con marrón probando con varias opciones. Primero con marrón que ya tenía con un poco de agua solo para diluirlo, luego con un poco de amarillo, también con algo de rosado y también con un poco de blanco. Todas estas mezclas me sirvieron para todo el personaje.
6. Lo que hice fue primero aplicar la mezcla de marron con un poco de blanco en todas las secciones que iba el tono que ya les comenté. Dejé secar y luego apliqué un poco la mezcla de marrón con agua y dejé secar. Por último apliqué un tono de vinotinto diluido en agua y me dio el color que quería lograr.
7. Luego apliqué la mezcla que ya había preparado de marrón ligado con rosa y esto lo aplique en sus manitas, patitas, en sus orejas y en la parte de su boca y nariz. Y dejé secar...
8. Para el resto del pelaje solo usé blanco, lo cual hice varias veces para tomara solidez.
9. Para la parte del rostro, con mucho cuidado añadí color en sus ojos. Con la mezcla de marrón y amarillo que había hecho antes lo apliqué en sus iris, negro para la pupila y blanco tanto para el resto de los ojos como para el toque de brillo o reflejo.
10. Para su boca utilicé negro para el fondo, rosa para su lengua y blanco para sus dientes.
11. Por último solo delinee nuevamente toda la figura con negro.
5. To begin applying color to Gizmo, I started with the parts where his fur is a very nice shade of brown to beige. For this I made a mix with brown, trying several options. First with brown that I already had with a little water just to dilute it, then with a little yellow, also with some pink and also with a little white. All these mixtures worked for me for the whole character.
6. What I did was first to apply the mixture of brown with a little white in all the sections that had the tone that I already mentioned. I let it dry and then I applied some of the brown mixture with water and let it dry. Finally I applied a shade of vinotint diluted in water and it gave me the color I wanted to achieve.
7. Then I applied the mixture I had already prepared of brown mixed with pink and applied it on his little hands, paws, his ears and the part of his mouth and nose. And I let it dry...
8. For the rest of the fur I only used white, which I did several times to make it solid.
9. For the face part, I carefully added color to his eyes. With the mixture of brown and yellow that I had done before I applied it in his irises, black for the pupil and white for the rest of the eyes as well as for the touch of brightness or reflection.
10. For her mouth I used black for the background, pink for her tongue and white for her teeth.
11. Finally I just outlined the whole figure again with black.
Si bien yo continué agregando un par de cosas, ustedes pueden replicarlo y dejarlo hasta este punto.
12. En mi caso agregué con lapiz unas cuantas letras. En general se lee la frase "Don´t use water" que se traduce como "No usar agua".
Contexto: La única regla para el cuidado de Gizmo era que bajo ninguna circunstancia podía mojarse porque al hacerlo sufría unas pequeñas convulsiones quedando un poco débil, el resultado de esto era que de él mismo salían más como él, es decir, se reproducía. Por eso la advertencia.
13. Con delineador negro y luego con pincel rellenamos con pintura negra toda la frase en el espacio restante de nuestro disco. Y al en la parte inferior he colocado su nombre "Gizmo".
14. Por último, muy pequeño y sutil, agregué el logo de Artemisart que acostumbro integrar en mis pinturas.

14. Finally, very small and subtle, I added the Artemisart logo that I usually integrate in my paintings.
