Welcome back, readers! What a 3 days overnight stay at Batam with an eye-opening experience. This was the first time that I stayed overnight at Batam. A day before the trip, I was on cloud nine and started packing after I went home after a day's work. My family was in high spirits. Unfortunately, my father was not able to follow as he would need to take care of our cats who would need constant care.
The next day, on Saturday 14 March 2020, we set off to the Harbourfront Ferry Terminal. My father accompanied us to the terminal to help us with a lot of luggage to be carried. My younger sister called for a Grab Premium Service 6-seater car in order to accommodate all the luggage inside the car. While waiting for the car to arrive at our apartment, my sister took a lot of photos.
Finally, the six-seater car arrived and we unload the luggage into the back of the car. While the driver was driving towards the terminal, he said that are we not afraid of the coronavirus to be able to go travelling. My mum said the organizer gave a green signal to carry out the overseas trip.
Shortly after, we arrived at the Ferry Terminal. Our family was the first one to arrive at the terminal. The trip was organized by the GoodWheelz Bikerz as a part of a charity campaign in one of the villages at Batam to donate food products such as rice and other stuff.
The members of the Goodwheelz Bikerz and their families started streaming into the departure area of the terminal.
After all the members and their families arrived, it was time to board the Majestic ferry and I was really delighted to have an opportunity to join this overseas trip. Stay tuned for Part 2! Signing off! Sejuk!
