Who Am I?
My name is Aaron Chisom Elekwachi, but you can call me Aaron. My username is @aaronelekwachi
Nationality
Nigeria is a nation of great potential, with its people possessing rare talent. There is virtually nowhere in the world where you meet Nigerians and they aren't high-flyers. We raise our heads high, chin up and face our issues headlong.
My background
I hail from Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia state, Nigeria. I am based in the capital city, Umuahia.
My Native Food
My favourite dish is Starch and Banga soup. My love for this dish emanated from my time in Delta State during my undergraduate days. The feel and texture of the starch is similar to that of the Yoruba "Amálá from the western part of Nigeria. Also, the Banga soup is smooth and isn't harsh on the throat. Oh, and also this soup is not complete without a big catfish. Yummy 😋
Physically, I am middle-weight, dark-skinned and average height. I am also bearded.
What are my hobbies?
I love researching and exploring the new frontiers in technology, like Virtual/Augmented Reality and Quantum Computing.
My profession
Academically, I am presently doing a Post Graduate Program in Information Technology at the National Open University of Nigeria, having bagged my bachelor's degree in Information Science from Delta State University in the year 2018.
Career
Career-wise, I am the Director of IT Programs and Research at the Augustine Akobundu Foundation in Umuahia, Abia State. Augustine Akobundu is the Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District. My role involves overseeing the development, implementation, and research of IT programs that align with the foundation's mission. I manage a team of professionals dedicated to leveraging technology to drive our initiatives, ensuring we stay at the forefront of innovation and effectiveness in our projects. My responsibilities also include conducting research and researching technologies and trends that can enhance our foundation's impact.
Likes and Dislikes
About my likes and dislikes, I have a profound appreciation for individuals who demonstrate unwavering focus and dedication. A verse that encapsulates this ideal for me is Matthew 6:22: "The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light" (KJV). This means that to accomplish anything truly meaningful, one must direct their full attention and energy toward a single goal. It's a philosophy I hold dear—where attention goes, energy flows.
Conversely, I have a strong aversion to deception. Anyone who exhibits a deceptive spirit quickly finds themselves in my bad books. Deception erodes trust and integrity, both of which are fundamental to building strong, genuine relationships and achieving lasting success. Trust and transparency are non-negotiable values for me.
