Este día quiero mostrarles el fanatismo que tengo por los seres mitológicos, esta vez haciendo una pintura del Minotauro de creta. Que era un monstruo con cuerpo de hombre y cabeza de toro.

La mitología cuenta que este ser fue concebido por Pasifae "la esposa del futuro rey Minos" y un hermoso toro cretense, gracias a la ira de Poseidón quien, en venganza hacia Minos, inspiró a Pasifae con un deseo irreprimible hacia ese animal, por lo que Pasifae pidió ayuda para construir una vaca de madera cubierta con piel de vaca para usar como disfraz y atraer la atención del toro. Consumando así una nefasta unión que resultó en el nacimiento del Minotauro.

Después de que nació la bestia, fue encerrada en un laberinto, donde fue alimentada por sacrificios humanos llevados allí contra su voluntad para vagar perdidos hasta ser encontrados por el Minotauro.
