Originally it didn't grow, but since last year, it started to grow in my garden. Did the underground stem grow from next door? I thought the whole garden would be covered with Houttuynia, but last year it was covered with weeds, so it didn't increase that much, and this year it grew its stems just right and made flowers.
Houttuynia has a unique smell, but the flowers are cute. What looks like white petals is an involucre, and the actual flower grows densely in the center panicle part. It is a useful grass that has no poison, and on the contrary, it can be used as medicine or tea.
I drew this sketch on my sketchbook drawing paper with a pencil and a transparent watercolor. However, the number of sketches has obviously decreased compared to last year, so my hand movements are awkward. The sketch looks a bit awkward ......。 I still want to go to the Kyoto Botanical Garden.
Hydrangea is about to bloom, so I want to go and draw it.

もともとは生えていなかったんですが、昨年頃から自宅の庭にドクダミが生えるようになりました。隣から地下茎が伸びてきたのでしょうか。庭一面ドクダミだらけになるかと思っていましたが、昨年は庭一面草ぼうぼうだったためそんなに増えず、今年もほどよく茎を伸ばして花をつけてくれました。
ドクダミは独特の臭気がありますが、花は可愛いです。白い花びらに見えるものは総苞で、実際の花は中央の穂の部分に密生しています。毒はなく、それどころか薬にもなりお茶にもなる、有用な草です。
このスケッチはスケッチブックの画用紙に鉛筆と透明水彩で描きました。しかし昨年より明らかにスケッチの回数が減ってしまったので、手の動きがぎこちないです。スケッチの出来もややぎこちないような……。やっぱり、京都府立植物園に行きたいです。
そろそろアジサイが咲く頃だし、それを描きに行きたいです。
