Estaba dibujando un viernes, sin mucho afán, cuando un chico me escribió de que quería que le dibujará a una chica, accedí y me puse a ello, ya que me había dicho que si podía tenerlo listo para el domingo, no había tiempo que perder, lo sorprendente fue que lo termine el mismo día, se lo entregué el sábado y quedó sorprendido, así que quiero sorprenderlos a ustedes con el proceso.
I was drawing one Friday, without much effort, when a guy wrote me that he wanted me to draw a girl, I agreed and got to it, since he had told me that if he could have it ready for Sunday, there was no time to lose, the surprising thing was that I finished it the same day, I delivered it to him on Saturday and he was surprised, so I want to surprise you with the process.
Tiendo a ponerme muy nerviosa al empezar un dibujo, porque me he llegado a equivocar muchísimas veces al hacer un boceto, me alegro al ver que no me había equivocado en este y que a buenas a primeras me había salido bien, igualmente lo ví en diferentes ángulos y quedé satisfecha con el boceto.
I tend to get very nervous when starting a drawing, because I have made a mistake many times when making a sketch, I am glad to see that I had not made a mistake in this one and that Right off the bat it had turned out well, I still saw it from different angles and I was satisfied with the sketch.
Para este retrato decidí darle volúmen con puntillismo, es más rápido de terminar, además tenía bastante tiempo sin hacerlo, comencé con el fondo ya que estaba prolongando la hora de cuando tendría que profundizar en el rostro y el gatito; cuando empecé a hacer le rostro, quise hacerle las facciones, como los pómulos y la frente, sobre todo no buscaba aún delinear hasta que tuviera clara las sombras del rostro, al finalizar con las sombras principales del rostro, pase a definir ojos, pestañas y cejas, lo hice con mucho cuidado ya que no delinee con líneas normales sino con puntos muy seguidos que dan la ilusión de línea.
For this portrait I decided to give it volume with pointillism, it's faster to finish, and I hadn't done it for a long time, I started with the background since I was prolonging the time when I would have to go deeper in the face and the kitten; When I started to make the face, I wanted to make the features, such as the cheekbones and the forehead, above all I was not looking yet to outline until I had the shadows of the face clear, when I finished with the main shadows of the face, I went on to define the eyes, eyelashes and eyebrows, I did it very carefully since I did not outline with normal lines but with very close dots that give the illusion of a line.
Al darme por satisfecha con el rostro, seguí con el cabello, este si lo hice con líneas muy largas y muy unidas, hacer cabello con puntos me parece interesante pero no me da la impresión de ser muy atractivo; con esto de hacer el cabello me sorprendió a mi misma lo rápido que lo hice.
When I was satisfied with the face, I continued with the hair, this I did with very long and very close lines, making hair with dots seems interesting to me but it doesn't give me the impression of being very attractive; With this haird I was surprised at how fast I did it.
Llegó la hora de hacer el gato, tuve algunas preguntas conmigo misma por cómo haría el pelaje del gato, decidí hacerlo con puntos, le daba la sombra con muchos puntos, pero para delinear la silueta del animalito lo hice con líneas finas y sin cortes.
It was time to make the cat, I had some questions with myself as to how I would make the cat's fur, I decided to do it with dots, I shaded it with a lot of dots, but to outline I made the silhouette of the little animal with fine lines and without cuts.
Continúe con el gato y también con la mano que sostiene al mismo, el mismo procedimiento de delinear con puntos la figura humana y la animal con líneas pulcras; quise profundizar varias partes del dibujo, darle más volumen, así que con un lápiz 3B fui pasándolo por algunas zonas donde la sombra se veía más intensa, como también use el lápiz por la figura del gato con la intención de que se viera que tenía color y que no era todo blanco, creo que logré mi cometido.
Continue with the cat and also with the hand holding the cat, the same procedure of outlining the human and animal figures with neat lines; I wanted to deepen several parts of the drawing, give it more volume, so with a 3B pencil I went through some areas where the shadow was more intense, as well as I used the pencil for the figure of the cat with the intention of showing that it had color and that it wasn't all white, I think I achieved my goal.
Empecé este dibujo en la mañana un viernes y cuando ya la noche se adentraba más, lo terminé, estaba muy emocionada ya que tenía mucho tiempo sin dibujar y aún más emocionada estaba cuando ví lo bien que me había quedado. A la mañana siguiente se lo envíe al chico y quedó fascinado, cuando vino a buscarlo, me agradeció y se fue muy contento, eso fue como masaje al corazón, que lo que hago le guste y alegre a las personas.
I started this drawing in the morning on a Friday and when the night got deeper, I finished it, I was very excited since I had not drawn for a long time and I was even more excited when I saw how good I was. The next morning I sent it to the boy and he was fascinated, when he came to look for it, he thanked me and left very happy, that was like a massage to the heart, that people like what I do and make it happy.
