Hello hello~! ¿Cómo está todo el mundo? Espero que bien. Bueno el día de hoy finalmente traigo otra publicación. Un dibujo en el que llevaba tiempo enfrascado, incluso antes de tener mi cuenta en HIVE. Incluso, antes de que entrara a la universidad.

Hello hello~! How is everyone? I hope it's good. Well today I'm finally bringing another post. A drawing I had been engrossed in for a while, even before I had my HIVE account. Even, before I entered college.
Un día un amigo y yo nos propusimos dibujar a Carrot la coneja más linda de One piece, cada uno la haría y luego la compartiríamos para verla, pero un día la universidad ataco, me arrastro y lentamente perdí el tiempo que le podía dedicar al dibujo entre tantas tareas y libros que debía leer. Tal hecho haría que no pudiera terminar en su momento con este dibujo, llegue incluso a subir unos bocetos en mis cuentas de Instagram y twitter, pero incluso esos bocetos estaban incompletos o deformes ya que tenían cosas que yo debía arreglar. Pero bueno Empecemos con el cómo la hice.

One day a friend and I proposed to draw Carrot the most beautiful rabbit of One Piece, each one of us would do it and then we would share it to see it, but one day the university attacked, it dragged me and slowly I lost the time I could dedicate to the drawing between so many tasks and books I had to read. Such a fact would make that I could not finish this drawing at the time, I even uploaded some sketches on my Instagram and twitter accounts, but even those sketches were incomplete or deformed because they had things that I had to fix. But well let's start with how I did it.
Este fue el primer boceto de Carrot. Solo había hecho una cabeza en su momento aun así me gustaba porque la había hecho en poco tiempo. Aunque claramente esta bizca, está bastante bien para un boceto por mi parte en poco tiempo. Desde que dibujo a mause me he acostumbrado un poco a bocetar a pulso y usando el borrador en las líneas. Dibujar a mano y luego escanear el boceto me da pereza así que prefiero bocetar directamente con el mause.

This was Carrot's first sketch. I had only done one head at the time but I still liked it because it was done in a short time. Although it's clearly squinting, it's pretty good for a sketch by me in a short time. Since drawing on mause I've gotten a bit used to sketching by hand and using the eraser on the lines. Drawing by hand and then scanning the sketch makes me lazy so I prefer to sketch directly with the mause.
Luego de dedicarle unas horas al boceto este término siendo el resultado, todavía estaba pensando en que hacerle aparte de la cabeza. En que ropa llevaría y ya estaba pensando como la pintaría. No me considero un experto en ello así que pensé en buscar alguna referencia, pero no en algún buscador de imágenes o alguna página de referencias. Sino algo más, algún panel de manhwa que a mí me gustara. Como pueden apreciar el cabello estaba prácticamente listo, lo único era arreglar las proporciones y hacer algo más de la parte de abajo. Me centre mayormente en la cabeza no solo por el cabello sino además por los ojos, no quería que se viera tan bizca como en el primer boceto.

After dedicating a few hours to the sketch this term being the result, I was still thinking about what to do to her besides the head. In what clothes she would wear and I was already thinking about how I would paint her. I don't consider myself an expert on it so I thought about looking for some reference, but not in some image search engine or some reference page. But something else, some manhwa panel that I liked. As you can see the hair was almost ready, the only thing was to fix the proportions and do something more of the bottom. I focused mostly on the head, not only for the hair but also for the eyes, I didn't want her to look as cross-eyed as in the first sketch.
Finalmente, durante la Universidad logre terminar el boceto por completo. Le había añadido la capa con su moño y parte del pecho. Hice un arreglo de proporciones, y sobre todo en el cabello, si se fijan ahora está mejor colocado y quedo un poco más largo en la zona de la frente. Esta versión completada no la subí a mis redes, solo faltaba hacer el lineart y pintar, pero no logre centrarme en ello todavía tenía tareas y libros por leer, así que termine esperando a que los días de clase acabaran. Lo cual de cierta forma fue algo positivo ya que ahora les puedo mostrar el dibujo también a ustedes.

Finally, during college I managed to finish the sketch completely. I had added the cape with the bow and part of the chest. I made an arrangement of proportions, and especially in the hair, if you notice now is better placed and is a little longer in the area of the forehead. I didn't upload this completed version to my networks, I only needed to do the lineart and paint, but I couldn't focus on it, I still had homework and books to read, so I ended up waiting for the school days to end. Which in a way was a good thing because now I can show the drawing to you too.
Una vez terminado el lineart comencé a editar el grosor de las líneas mediante la herramienta de presión que te permite la capa de lineart dentro de Paint Tool Sai 2. Es increíble como a veces un dibujo plano con simplemente ajustar el grosor de las líneas puede cobrar vida y además de eso verse mucho mejor intentando asemejar esa presión que alguien normalmente haría al dibujar a mano o a tableta grafica (la cual no tengo así que lloro).

Once I finished the lineart I started to edit the thickness of the lines using the pressure tool that allows you to use the lineart layer inside Paint Tool Sai 2. It's amazing how sometimes a flat drawing by simply adjusting the thickness of the lines can come to life and besides that look much better trying to resemble that pressure that someone would normally do when drawing by hand or graphic tablet (which I don't have so I cry).
Este es el resultado final del lineart. Ya completado se ve bastante bien, y ahora venía la parte difícil, pintarlo. Esa suele ser mi parte complicada de cada dibujo a digital. ¿Recuerdan lo del panel de Manhwa? que para quien no sepa es un manga pero hecho en Corea. Bueno luego de pensar y buscar, recordé un manhwa en específico que me había encantado y que tenía un arte asombroso. Su nombre, Solo Leveling, probablemente la historia en la que más he simpeado al protagonista por lo guapo y sexy que esta. Bueno de allí encontré un panel con ambiente boscoso, pero con una iluminación bastante bonita que quise intentar replicar. A continuación, les mostrare mi intento usando solamente tonos grises para tener una idea de lo que quería lograr.

This is the final result of the lineart. It looks pretty good already completed, and now came the hard part, painting it. That's usually my complicated part of every digital drawing. Remember the Manhwa panel? for those who don't know it's a manga but made in Korea. Well after thinking and searching, I remembered a specific manhwa that I had loved and had amazing art. Its name, Solo Leveling, probably the story in which I have simulated the protagonist the most because of how handsome and sexy he is. Well from there I found a panel with a wooded environment, but with pretty nice lighting that I wanted to try to replicate. Next, I'll show you my attempt using only gray tones to get an idea of what I wanted to achieve.
Algo simple pero que me gusto, luego tenía que pensar en cómo hacerlo a color y ya no solamente con tonos grises y a color blanco pero bueno, era un buen comienzo. Solo quería que las partes blancas (la luz) se vieran como esas aperturas entre los arboles reflejadas en la piel. Aunque también quería hacérselo en el cabello, sin más después de eso comencé a pintar.

Something simple but that I liked, then I had to think about how to make it in color and not only with gray tones and white color but well, it was a good start. I just wanted the white parts (the light) to look like those openings between the trees reflected on the skin. Although I also wanted to do it on the hair, without further ado after that I started painting.
Primero comencé añadiendo los colores base. Se ve sin vida con los ojos así pero pronto eso cambiara. Además, se puede apreciar cómo le hice un arreglo entre la boca y la nariz uniendo la línea que antes estaba separada.

First I started by adding the base colors. She looks lifeless with the eyes like that but soon that will change. Also, you can see how I made an arrangement between the mouth and nose by joining the line that was separated before.
Una vez añadidas las sombras ciertamente el resultado ya parecía completo, como si no le faltara nada más o al menos así se veía para una morsa vaga como yo. Realmente lo que hice no fue mucho, metí las sombras en cada lugar correspondiente para luego usar el borrador con una densidad de 30 para hacer que se viera un poco más natural. El brillo en los ojos le dio vida y ciertamente ya estaba bien para mí, pero todavía faltaba ese fondo y la iluminación que ya tenía pensado darle.

Once the shadows were added, the result certainly looked complete, as if nothing else was missing, or at least that's how it looked to a lazy walrus like me. Actually what I did was not much, I put the shadows in each corresponding place to then use the eraser with a density of 30 to make it look a little more natural. The glow in the eyes brought it to life and it certainly looked good to me, but it was still missing that background and the lighting that I had already planned to give it.
Ciertamente comencé de la manera más simple que pensé, llenar todo de un color y luego ir haciendo cosas similares al panel del manhwa el cual colocare al final de esta publicación. No tenía muy claro como lo haría con colores y no con tonos grises así que me toco improvisar un rato hasta que conseguí algo que me gustase.

I certainly started in the simplest way I could think of, filling everything with one color and then doing things similar to the manhwa panel which I will post at the end of this publication. I didn't have very clear how I would do it with colors and not with gray tones so I had to improvise for a while until I got something I liked.
Luego comencé a añadir algunas luces, como copos de nieve. Esto es más que nada asemejando al panel del manhwa, estuve jugando un rato y experimentando con diferentes opciones que te permitían los pinceles especiales del Paint tool sai y encontré uno que, hacia una esfera rodeada de otras más pequeñas, usé eso y bueno, Obtuve este resultado, ya solo me quedaba añadir un sombreado a casi todo el dibujo de nuestra querida Carrot y añadir las luces.

Then I started adding some lights, like snowflakes. This is more than anything resembling the manhwa panel, I was playing for a while and experimenting with different options that the special brushes of the Paint tool sai allowed you and I found one that made a sphere surrounded by other smaller ones, I used that and well, I obtained this result, now I only had to add a shading to almost all the drawing of our dear Carrot and add the lights.
Terminé añadiendo el sombreado y aunque ya me gustaba el resultado, sentía que faltaba algo, algunos brillos o etc y eso fue lo que hice para luego obtener el resultado final haciendo parecer a las esferas como luminosas y tocando los colores del fondo un poco.

I ended up adding the shading and although I already liked the result, I felt that something was missing, some glows or etc and that's what I did to get the final result making the spheres look like luminous and touching the background colors a little bit.
¡Eso sería todo Carrot ya está lista!, fue una larga travesía, pero al final pude terminarla y me siento satisfecho con el resultado. Como estoy de vacaciones y me ando recuperando de una fiebre temporal que me dio espero poder traer otra publicación esta semana, ando haciendo otro dibujo también. That would be all, Carrot is ready, it was a long journey, but in the end I was able to finish it and I feel satisfied with the result. As I'm on vacation and I'm recovering from a temporary fever that I got, I hope to bring another publication this week, I'm doing another drawing too.
