Hello Sketchbook Artists
It was really interesting interpreting this playful and expressive piece. So I gave the character that sudden "wait, what did I just see?" Look.
The wide and bold eyes do most of the work in showing the shock, while I used hatching and loose scribbles around the shirt collar to add textures and character. It was a simple sketch, but I had fun pushing the expression.
