Hello my dear bloggers! This is a very different post compared to my normal content, but i wanted to share this very simple but also useful tip for drawing eyes!

DISCLAIMER: These are my own opinions and reccomendations, these may not be as efficient as other tutorials, but its more simple compared to others imo.

So, as you may have already read, today i'm sharing this easy and simple trick to use when you're drawing eyes! Im going to divide this into three parts; oval/circle shape, parallelogram/diamond(kinda???) shape, and the semicircle shape. So, read carefully and enjoy!

Oval/Circle shape

If you have already seen the image, or at least took a simple peek, you may have already noticed that that mostly when drawing "cute, sweet, childish, innocent and social butterflies" type of characters, (at least in my opinion) the Oval/Circle Shape is more compared to other eye shapes. Me personally when drawing character with those type of traits, I usually use big eyes, since it usually matches their traits in my opinion, a little bit ahead, i will add some examples to explain myself a little bit more.

Parallelogram/diamond(kinda???) shape

Normally these eye shapes are mostly used for characters that have these traits; mysterious, shy, cold, and similar.

Semicircle shape

For the "semicicle" example, i used a lazy type of eye, and mostly (as expected) this eye shape is mostly used in characters with these traits; lonely, lazy, calm, and others that are similar.

Character reference	Traits/Personality & Eye shape
Minori Kushieda - Toradora!	Personality type: Bubbly, positive, energized. Eye shape: Oval/Circle shaped eyes.
Rio - Romantic Killer	Personality type: Extremely hyper and talkative. Eye shape: Oval/Circle shaped eyes.
Kaede Manyuda - Kakegurui	Personality type: cold, ruthless, calculating. Eye shape: Parallelogram/diamond(kinda???) shaped eyes.
Komi Shouko - Komi-san can't communicate	Personality type: shy, introverted and extremely anxious. Eye shape: Parallelogram/diamond(kinda???) shaped eyes.
Oreki Houtarou - Hyouka	Personality type: apathetic, cynical and calm person. Eye shape: Semicirle(kind of)
Tomoko Kuroki - Watamote!	Personality type: desperate, obssesive, and lonely. Eye shape: semicircle.

Tips!

---

• When drawing eyes, dont forget to add lashes, for both male a female, it will always make them look better!

• When adding highlights, never forget that the shape or amount that you add, can change the expression a lot.

(No highlights: lifeless. Too much highlights: why would you even do that...)
