“Spring in Maple Leaf”
I have been waiting for spring for a long time since last year. This winter was very long but finally, I can feel the weather is changing a bit even though we still have snowfall. I designed this artwork in winter a few years ago when I was waiting for spring. Again, I am waiting for spring so, I decided to share it.
I created this cut-paper artwork before and digitally retouched it this time. There are dandelions, plantain (white man's footprint), mushrooms, wild grapes, lady ferns and leaves, and violet flowers in a big maple leaf in this artwork. Most of the plants are edible. Some of the plants are common plants between North America and Asia but I can’t find some of them in North America in my area.
「メープルの葉っぱの中の春」
去年からずっと春を待ち続けています。まだ雪がちらつきますが、長い冬がようやく終わりそうな天候の変化を感じています。この切り絵は数年前の冬に春を待ちながら作成したものです。今年もまた春を待ち望んでいるので投稿する事にしました。
以前作った切り絵を、今回はデジタルで修正しました。たんぽぽ、セイヨウオオバコ、きのこ、山ぶどう、セイヨウメシダと葉っぱ、すみれの花が大きなメープルの葉っぱの中にデザインしました。ほとんどの食べ物は食用です。北アメリカとアジアで共通する植物もありますが、わたしの住む地域では見かけないものもあります。
After cutting it out, I placed it on a green paper, and took a picture of it. Then, I retouched it with a digital app and added a background.
切り抜いてから緑の紙にのせて写真を撮ります。それをデジタルで修正してから、背景を加えました。
