What a pleasure to greet you. First I must introduce myself. I am a fan of art in several of its expressions. I could not say that of all, because obviously the subject of art is very extensive and I am not a professional in the area, I just like to draw, paint with watercolors, artistic makeup, crochet, pastry, I am studying guitar and singing, outside of that, nothing else. Previously I had another user which I used for three years but unfortunately my account was hacked with no possibility of recovery. However, I'm still here, always trying to bring the best in each publication.

Que gusto saludarles. Primero debo presentarme. Soy una aficionada al arte en varias de sus expresiones. No podría decir que de todas, por qué obviamente el tema del arte es muy extenso y no soy profesional en el área, solo me gusta dibujar, pintar con acuarelas, el maquillaje artístico, el crochet, la pastelería, estoy estudiando guitarra y canto, fuera de eso, nada más. Anteriormente tenía otro usuario el cual utilicé durante tres años pero lastimosamente mi cuenta fue hackeada sin posibilidad de recuperación. No obstante, sigo aquí, siempre procurando traer lo mejor en cada publicación.

Drawing is one of the activities I enjoy the most. I could spend hours immersed in a drawing, and I don't know if it happens to other people, but I feel that they are never finished. I could pick up the same drawing and keep polishing lines for days and feel like it's still missing. It must be that I have a long way to go to perfect my technique, but I have the eye to see what is still missing. Although sometimes this can lead to a feeling of dissatisfaction, it is what drives me to keep practicing.

Dibujar es una de las actividades que más disfruto hacer. Podría pasar horas sumergida en un dibujo, y no sé si a otras personas les pasa, pero siento que nunca están terminados. Podría agarrar el mismo dibujo y seguir puliendo líneas por días y sentir que sigue faltando. Debe ser que me falta mucho para perfeccionar mi técnica, pero puedo ver qué aún le falta. Aunque a veces esto puede llevar a una sensación de insatisfacción, es lo que me impulsa a seguir practicando.

Today I want to share with you a pencil portrait I did of my daughter Rafaella. I took an old photograph as a guide to make the portrait. Based on this, it is more of a replica of a photo, but to be honest and going back to the previous point, it was not very accurate, however, I like it and it gives me a perspective of how my daughter could be with a few more years of life.

Hoy les quiero compartir un retrato a lápiz que realicé de mi hija Rafaella. Tomé una vieja fotografía como guía para hacer el retrato. Partiendo de esto, es más una réplica de una foto, pero siendo sincera y volviendo al punto anterior, no fue muy precisa, sin embargo, me agrada y me da una perspectiva de cómo podría ser mi hija con unos años más de vida.

I started by making a few thin strokes of the silhouette of the face and then the facial features. The most difficult part, as in most cases, is the eyes. When it comes to a portrait of a person, if you can capture the gaze, you've done most of the work.

Empecé haciendo unos trazos delgados de la silueta del rostro y luego de los rasgos faciales. La parte más difícil, como en la mayoría de los casos, son los ojos. Cuando se trata de un retrato de una persona, si se alcanza a capturar la mirada, ya se tiene la mayor parte del trabajo logrado.

I continued to work on the smile. I stopped quite a while on this part because I couldn't get the lines just right. The photo wasn't as sharp, so I got lost in the lines. I would look at the photo and when I went to the paper, I would run out of anything to draw. However, I didn't stop, I made a few strokes more guided by intuition than anything else.

Seguí trabajando en la sonrisa. Me detuve bastante tiempo en esta parte porque no conseguía las líneas precisas. La foto no estaba tan nítida, así que me perdí en las líneas. Miraba la foto y cuando iba al papel, me quedaba sin nada que dibujar. Sin embargo, no me detuve, realicé unos trazos más guiada por intuición que por otra cosa.

I moved on to the eyes and of course it was another challenge. My daughter's eyes are light and the photo doesn't show it. So I came up with dark eyes with a little bit of light flash. I felt weird about this because I couldn't see my little Rafaella in this portrait.

Pasé a los ojos y desde luego fue otro reto. Los ojos de mi hija son claros y en la foto no se aprecia. Entonces me encontré con unos ojos oscuros con un poco de destello de luz. Me sentí rara con esto porque no lograba ver a mi pequeña Rafaella en este retrato.

I applied shadows all over the image and after blurring with a cotton swab, I continued working on the lines; this time, the hair and a flower headband on the head. What I was most happy with was the nose. I think it looks quite similar to hers, although more so now, as it has grown a little since the photo was taken.

Apliqué sombras en toda la imagen y luego de difuminar con un algodón, seguí trabajando las líneas; está vez, el cabello y una diadema de flores en la cabeza. Con lo que más conforme me sentí fue con la nariz. Creo que se parece bastante a la de ella, aunque más ahorita, pues ha crecido un poco desde que se tomó la foto.

This portrait is the first of a new season, it awakened the desire in me to paint again, since I had put away my pencils and sketch pad a long time ago. I hope you like it and I wish you many blessings on this and every day.

Este retrato es el primero de una nueva temporada, despertó el deseo en mi de pintar nuevamente, ya que hacía bastante tiempo que había guardado mis lápices y block de dibujo. Espero les guste y les deseo muchas bendiciones en este y todos los días.
