From sketch to painting

A friend of mine told me I could digitally sketch an idea before painting it.
I've never tried it but recently I did it and I think it's good. Digital sketches often look better than a regular pencil sketch. Using programs and apps "can" auto enhance someone's output.

Fair enough!
Yes, I was skeptical. Why what for? Isn't a paper sketch ultimately better? Eh??? But after trying,
I guess it is a good strategy? Anyone else does it like that?

Let us know!

Another piece for my elephant series which got sold out on our last exhibit. I'm preparing some more for the next August exhibit.

Cartoons sketches though are often more flowy and show exaggerated postures that express more movement so my more realistic painting becomes a bit "stiff".

Question, what is it doing? Can anyone take a guess?

Did I get the one look one interpretation thing? (Answer: it is rolling on the flower)

Hope it's easy to understand otherwise I've failed to express the thought ๐Ÿ˜… more practice then.

Did I use too much gray? It is a bit dark. But high contrast now. I think it looks cute and the colours are contrasted so it makes it clear.

โœ…Happy to get to paint a little.

Thank you for reading and taking a look at my artsies!
