Sketched a Moroccan Traditional Outfit "Takchita"

Takchita is a Moroccan ensemble that is used for ceremonial events and is different than the usual day-to-day attire. It is made up of the very colorful and traditional Marrakesh suit.

Takchita means "ordering" in Berber. It’s a Berber word pregnant with meaning: it signifies appeasing the gods; it denotes giving part of oneself to the other; it resembles a breath of life from the dead. Any of these meanings might bring small smiles to a person’s lips when contemplating it. But the word is more than just an interesting pastime; it’s emblematic of the intricacies of living in Morocco.

Traditional Moroccan outfits include a variety of colors and designs. They are predominantly loose-fitting and cascading in length and depth. As such, they are very accommodating in movement, easy to breathe in and create a beautiful silhouette.

Moroccan clothing is seen in a number of settings and events, with those settings and events varying in formality or style. It is a “trending type” in Europe, even among those who lack experience or familiarity with Moroccan clothing in general. Some ways to sketch a traditional Moroccan outfit include a basic structure, fabric samples, and understanding the folds of the clothing.
