Hello friends, I hope you are very well. once again taking up the drawing I have done a job in black cardboard, I really like to use black cardboard, this time it is about the demon Valak, from the movie La Monja (2018). This demon has been one of the most powerful and dangerous entities that the Warrens have faced, I really liked its design although it reminds me of Marilun Manson in his early years hehehe. I made this drawing using Faber Castell colored pencils, as I really like its effect on the black background. Hope you like.
Hola amigos, espero que se encuentren muy bien,. otra vez retomando el dibujo he hecho un trabajo en catrulina negra, me gusta mucho usar cartulina negra, esta vez se trata del demonio Valak, de la película La Monja (2018). Este demonio ha sido una de las entidades mas poderosas y peligrosas a las que se han enfrentado los Warren, me gusto mucho su diseño aunque me recuerda a Marilun Manson en sus primeros años jejeje. Hice este dibujo utilizando lápices de colores Faber Castell, ya que me gusta mucho su efecto sobre el fondo de color negro. Espero que les guste.
To start the drawing we cut a piece of cardboard, it measures 25 centimeters on each side. We make the sketch of the face with the most important parts without pressing the color too much, remember that we are only making lines to guide us, so we also make the area of the nose and eyes.
Para comenzar el dibujo cortamos un trozo de cartulina, esta mide 25 centímetros por cada lado. Hacemos el boceto del rostro con las pártes más importantes sin presionar mucho el color, recordemos que solo estamos haciendo líneas para guiarnos, así tambien hacemos la zona de la nariz y los ojos.
After making the sketch we highlight little by little a little stronger following the indicated line. Then we begin to fill in the inside of the face, starting with the forehead, the brow and down the nose, the first layer is always soft, then we pass the pencil a little harder. We also put a little color in the eyes, in this case a combination of yellow with orange and lightened with white pencil. Then we follow the stroke through the lips and jaw.
Luego de hacer el boceto remarcamos poco a poco un poco más fuerte siguiendo el trazo señalado. Despues comenzamos a rellenar el interior del rostro, comenzando con la frente, el ceño y así descendiendo por la nariz, la primera capa siempre es suave, luego vamos pasando el lápiz un poco más fuerte. También ponemos un poco de color en los ojos, en este caso una combinación de amarillo con naranja y aclarado con lápiz blanco. Luego seguimos el trazo por los labios y la mandíbula.
We apply a second layer of white color mixed with light pastel to make the features of the face that are monstrous, without pressing too much we make the stroke delicately but at the same time quickly, and we leave the divisions of the features of the face unpainted. Then we begin to paint part of the nun's clothing, the white part that goes under the dark veil that the demon uses.
Aplicamos una segunda capa de color blanco mezclado con pastel claro para hacer las facciones del rostro que son monstruosas, sin presionar mucho hacemos el trazo delicadamente pero a la vez rápido, y las divisiones de las facciones del rostro las dejamos sin pintar. Luego comenzamos a pintar parte del ropaje de la monja, la parte blanca que va debajo del velo oscuro que utiliza el demonio.
Next we apply darker colors for the shadows inside the face, we use light gray, dark gray and also brown. We use black for the eye socket, making a degradation with the previous colors, in the same way we paint the entire area of the mouth, which can be seen more as a shadow. Finally we paint the veil, which is against the light so we put some light colors on it without forgetting the dark parts. In this way we have finished.
Seguidamente aplicamos colores más oscuros para las sombras dentro del rostro, utilizamos gris claro, gris oscuro y tambien café. La cuenca de los ojos utilizamos color negro haciendo una degradación con los colores anteriores, de la misma forma pintamos toda la zona de la boca, que puede observarse más como una sombra. Por último pintamos el velo, que esta a contra luz así que le ponemos un poco de colores claros sin olvidar las partes oscuras. De esta forma hemos finalizado.
