Harry, the hare - watercolor portrait

Harry is not a cowardly hare! He has a reputation for being a great fighter, even kicks up the fox with his muscular legs.
His eyes see everything, his huge ears hear every little noise.
It’s no coincidence that this warrior jackrabbit has become my favorite.

It was a real pleasure to paint! I did the final touches with a white gel pen.

A/4 Fabriano paper, 300g, Sonnet watercolor, Uniball white gel pen.
Colors: burnt siena, umber, sepia, golden ochre, black, madder lake red.

Step-by-step

I used a lot of small brush strokes to shape his face, ears, body and hair, then finished with white gel pen.
His eyes sparkle brightly, watching intently.
