Landscape Autumn Pond

Hey, Y'all!

How's it going? Welcome back to emanate artworx. Today, I'd like to share my recent painting depicting a nice autumn scene. Tomorrow is December 21, where I live, meaning today is the last day of fall on the calendar. So long fall 2022!

To me, there's something to love about every season, no matter what time of year it is. Fall is kinda special, though considering how spectacular the landscape becomes after those first cold nights of the season. The trees show their amazingly bright colors that only come around once a year, and it's just awesome.

The reference for this painting came from a picture I took while I was sitting at a stop light on the service road of the interstate. There is a small pond by the road near that intersection, some kind of water management site made by the city. Even a man-made natural site can appear picturesque sometimes!

There was no real plan at the onset, just to have a painting that seemed related to the reference by the end. As a result, the process was all over the place! Layers all out of order, no sketch, but that's OK. Sometimes, with creative activities, it's fun to go with the flow without planning each step or detail.
