Con este post quiero hacer el inicio de una serie de pinturas con retratos de etnias de todo el mundo. Mi intención, representar la belleza de todo aquello que algún día fuimos y de lo que todavía es, cada rostro representando una cultura que se mantiene viva lejos de nuestro día a día. Este proyecto lo he iniciado antes de reagruparme a Hive, también con el deseo de seguir practicando diferentes tipos de rostros, expresiones, formas.
With this post I want to start a series of paintings with portraits of ethnic groups from all over the world. My intention, represent the beauty of all that we once were and of what still is, each face representing a culture that is kept alive far from our day to day. I started this project before regrouping Hive, also with the desire to continue practicing different types of faces, expressions, shapes.

En lo profundo de las selvas y montañas en el sur de Venezuela y en los alrededores del norte de Brasil, vive la Tribu Yanomamis. Hoy en día se considera que es la tribu más numerosa en sudamérica.
Deep in the jungles and mountains in southern of Venezuela and the surroundings of northern of Brazil, lives the Yanomami Tribe. Today it is considered to be the largest tribe in South America.
Para adornar su rostro, la mujer Yanomami se atraviesa palos pequeños
en los labios, tabique nasal o mejillas.
Toda la tribu lleva el mismo corte de cabello y sus cicatrices significan coraje y valentía.
Son igualitarios.
Creen en la Luna y el Sol.
Creen en la guía de sus antepasados,
en el amor a la naturaleza,
lo que ella provee.
En ciclo de vida y muerte.
To adorn her face, the Yanomami woman pierce with small sticks
her lips, nasal septum, or cheeks.
The entire tribe wears the same haircut and their scars means courage and bravery.
They are egalitarian.
They believe in the Moon and the Sun.
They believe in the guidance of their ancestors,
in love with nature,
what she provides.
In life and death cycle.
Lamentablemente, esta tribu ha sido bastante afectada desde las últimas decadas por el inicio de a minería y ganadería, ademas que esto conllevó a una crisis sanitaria que los ha llevado a contraer enfermedades, afecciones y muertes, obligados también a moverse de territorios como nómadas, alejados de lo que nuestra civilización moderna llama evolución.
Ya que el gobierno realmente no hace mucho al respecto, se han creado fundaciones para ayudar a mantener y proteger esta cultura.
Aun así, es bueno ser consciente de la lucha que viven los que no tienen voz en nuestro mundo actual.
Unfortunately, this tribe has been quite affected since the last decades by the beginning of mining and livestock, in addition, this led to a health crisis, contracted diseases, had new conditions and deaths, also forced to move from territories as nomads, away from what our modern civilization calls evolution.
The good in all this, foundations have been created to help maintain and protect this culture.
Still, it's good to be aware of the struggles of the voiceless in our modern world.
