My city is located in a valley, we have a wonderful view of both sunrise and sunset. To the south we have a distant mountain and to the north another mountain that is close by; in fact, I live near this northern mountain, which allows me to have a fairly wide view of the city and its entire horizon.

This is certainly a marvel, since I can enjoy beautiful sunrises that cannot be appreciated from other areas of the city. For example, from downtown you can't see them as clearly as you can from this area at the foot of the mountain.

Those of us who live around here, when we go to work in the morning we find these sunrises that are undoubtedly a delight. It is pleasant to walk through this area both in the morning and in the afternoon, since we can enjoy landscapes like the one shown in the following photograph:

Mi ciudad está ubicada en un valle, tenemos una maravillosa vista tanto del amanecer como del atardecer. Al sur nos encontramos con una lejana montaña y al norte con otra montaña que sí está cerca; de hecho, yo vivo cerca de esta montaña del norte, lo cual me permite tener una vista bastante amplia de la ciudad y todo su horizonte.

Esto ciertamente es una maravilla, ya puedo gozar de hermosos amaneceres que no se pueden apreciar desde otras áreas de la ciudad. Por ejemplo, desde el centro no se ven tan claramente como se ven desde esta zona a pie de montaña.

Los que vivimos por aquí, al ir a trabajar por la mañana nos encontramos con estos amaneceres que sin duda son un deleite. Es agradable caminar por esta zona tanto en la mañana como en la tarde, ya que podemos disfrutar de paisajes como el que se aprecia en la siguiente fotografía:

In this one you can see how the sun begins to peek timidly over the edge of the majestic mountains that adorn the lower part of the city.

It was still early when I decided to take these pictures, a little after six in the morning. I wanted to walk around the area a bit and photograph the sky as the morning progressed.

In the other photograph below, you can see more marked the light effect that the sun has on the sky, a natural gradient that is formed from the center of light, which in this case is the sun, to the farthest parts where there are still dark blue tones. The houses, wires and trees make an interesting effect when the photograph is taken against the light.

En esta se observa como el sol comienza a asomarse tímidamente por el borde de las majestuosas montañas que adornan a parte baja de la ciudad.

Aún era temprano cuando me animé a tomar estas fotografías, poco más de las seis de la mañana. Quise recorrer un poco el área e ir fotografíando el cielo mientras avanzaba la mañana.

En la otra fotografía que está más abajo, se ve más marcado el efecto lumínico que tiene el sol sobre el cielo, un degradado natural que se forma desde el centro de luz, que en este caso es el sol, hacia las partes más alejadas donde aún hay tonos azul oscuro. Las casas, cableados y arboles hacen un efecto interesante al tomar la fotografía a contraluz.

A little further away from the mountain, in a flatter and not so high area, I captured another moment in which the sun has already fully emerged and its light is not hidden behind the mountain.

On this occasion, the clouds are the only ones covering the main luminary, as it continues to illuminate the entire landscape.

Again, poles, stadium lights, wires and trees are backlit in the photograph.

Un poco más alejado de la montaña, en un área más plana y no tan alta, capturé otro momento en el que el sol ya se ha asomado por completo y su luz no se oculta detrás de la montaña.

En esta ocasión, son las nubes las únicas que cubren a la lumbrera mayor, mientras continúa iluminando todo el paisaje.

Nuevamente, se aprecian los postes, las luces de un estadio, cableados y árboles a contraluz en la fotografía.

Finally, I wanted to capture this other moment, in which the sun is no longer the protagonist, but the objects that become the center of the photograph against the light:

Por último, quise capturar este otro momento, en el que el sol ya no es el protagonista, sino los objetos que a contraluz pasan a ser los centrales de la fotografía:

In the center is the large stadium light tower, which stands out because of its height compared to the other objects seen in the photograph, such as trees, poles and other similar light towers.

I had previously taken photographs of the sky, but on this occasion the landscape lent itself to creating this effect in which the objects look completely black thanks to the sunlight behind them. Obviously the protagonist in the photographs is the sunrise, but it is certainly worth playing with the objects that are part of the photograph and place them as central objects instead of secondary objects...

En el centro se aprecia la gran torre de iluminación del estadio, que destaca por su altura en comparación con los otros objetos que se observan en la fotografía, tales como árboles, postes y otras torres de luz similares.

Antes había tomado fotografías al cielo, pero en esta ocasión el paisaje se prestaba para crear este efecto en el que los objetos se ven completamente negros gracias a la luz del sol que está detrás. Evidentemente el protagonista en las fotografías es el amanecer, pero sin duda vale la pena jugar con los objetos que forman parte de la fotografía y colocarlos como objetos centrales en lugar de objetos secundarios...
