My little cousin is a video game fanatic. She has been fascinated by this world since she was a little girl. Whenever I do my gaming posts, I always play with her and show her some of the games I played when I was her age, games that are now considered retro.

One day, she was walking down the street with her mom, when suddenly she saw a small toy, simple and not at all expensive, but she thought it was cool because it had a lot of these games that I had mentioned.

Although at the time his mom couldn't buy it for him, she told me about it and I decided to give it to him, along with a lot of the knick-knacks he likes so much. Therefore, I would like to share with you, through pictures, how was this brief unboxing of a simple toy that, in other times, would have been a great piece of technology...

Mi prima pequeña es fanática de los videojuegos. Ella ha sentido fascinación por este mundillo desde pequeña. Siempre que hago mis publicaciones de juegos, acostumbro a jugar con ella y a mostrarle alguno de los juegos que jugaba cuando yo tenía su edad, juegos que ahora se consideran retro.

Cierto día, ella iba caminando por la calle con su mamá, cuando de pronto vio un pequeño juguete, sencillo y para nada caro, pero que sin duda le pareció genial porque tenía un monton de estos juegos que yo le habia mencionado.

Aunque en su momento su mamá no se lo pudo comprar, me comentó del tema y yo decidí regalarselo, junto a un montón de chucherías que tanto le gustan. Por ello, me gustaría compartir con ustedes, a través de fotografías, cómo fue este breve unboxing de un jueguete sencillo que, en otros tiempos, habría sido una gran pieza de tecnología...

Game Box, that's the name on the box. At first glance and without detailing too much, it looks a lot like a gameboy, except for the obvious pink color and the additional buttons that the once portable console did not have.

Game Box, ese es el nombre que aparece en la caja. A primera vista y sin detallar demasiado, se parece mucho a un gameboy, salvo por el evidente color rosado y los botones adicionales que la otrora consola portatil no tenía.

It is a small box. Upon opening it, we noticed that all the components come tightly packed in the box, with a hard plastic wrap holding everything in place.

Evidently they don't have any polystyrene protection or something similar against shocks, so some devices could come some with damage for not having more protection except the cardboard box. In addition, I must comment that none of these devices have warranty, at least no store where I asked offered it. Negative point on this part.

Es una caja pequeña. Al abrirlo, nos dimos cuenta que todos los componentes vienen apretados en la caja, con una envoltura de plástico duro que mantiene todo en su lugar.

Evidentemente no tienen ninguna protección de poliestireno o algo parecido contra los golpes, así que algunos equipos podrían venir algunos con desperfectos por no tener más protección salvo la caja de cartón. Además, debo comentar que ninguno de estos dispositivos tiene garantía, al menos ninguna tienda en donde pregunté la ofrecía. Punto negativo por esta parte.

When we take everything out of the box, we can see that it comes with everything we need. Interestingly, when I bought it, the lady at the store told me that it could be connected to the TV. So the cables are there too.

Al sacar todo de la caja, vemos que trae lo justo y necesario. Resulta interesante que, cuando lo compré, la señorita de la tienda me comentó que se podía conectar a la tv. Así que por ahí también estan los cables.

The control has the same buttons as the main unit and can be connected to it through a USB cable, like the one used in cell phones.

On the other hand, it comes with a cable to charge the battery through the same port and RCA audio and video cables. I could not test it, because the TV at my grandmother's house has damaged these inputs, it will be up to my cousin to test it.

El control trae lo mismos botones que el equipo principal y se puede conectar a este a través de un cable, como el de los celulares.

Por otra parte, trae un cable para cargar la batería a través del mismo puerto y cables RCA de audio y video. No pude probarlo, porque el tv que hay en casa de mi abuela tiene dañados estas entradas, le tocará a mi prima probarlo.

It also comes with the manual. It is in English but I took a look at it to see if there were any indications I needed to know.

También trae el manual. Está en inglés pero le eché un vistazo para ver si había alguna indicación que necesitase saber.

At this point I must comment that when I was a child I read the manuals very well because I did not know what each button was for or what each thing was for in the consoles and games I bought.

On the other hand, kids today understand technology intuitively, as if it were something very basic for them. While I was reading the manual, my cousin had already turned on the computer and was playing quietly. I feel like I'm getting old...

En este punto debo comentar, que cuando yo era pequeño me leía muy bien los manuales porque no sabía para qué era cada botón o para qué era cada cosa de las consolas y juegos que compraba.

Por otra parte, los niños de hoy en día entienden la tecnología de manera intuitiva, como si fuese algo muy básico para ellos. Mientras yo me leía el manual, mi prima ya había encendido el equipo y jugaba tranquilamente. Siento que me estoy haciendo viejo...

What can I say about the games? Well, they are the typical games I played as a child, such as Contra, Mario, Ninja Turtles and a lot of other games; 400 in total. The screen is color and despite being small, you can see the games well.

¿Qué puedo comentar de los juegos? Pues bien, son los típicos juegos que jugaba de niño, como Contra, Mario, las tortugas ninjas y un montón de juegos más; 400 en total. La pantalla es a color y a pesar de ser pequeña, se ven bien los juegos.

I tell you, for a child these games are very enjoyable, at least my cousin loved them and she was entertained for quite a while playing them. I must confess that my inner child was also entertained playing a few games for a few minutes.

Yo les digo, para un niño estos juegos son muy disfrutables, al menos a mi prima le encantaron y ella se entretuvo durante un buen rato jugando. Igual debo confesar que mi niño interior también se entretuvo jugando unos cuantos juegos por unos minutos.

But at the end of the day, the goal was achieved with the purchase of this equipment, which was to brighten up my little cousin's day a little, so that she can add another console to her collection. One of these days I will surprise her with something else, you'll see.

Pero a fin de cuenta, el objetivo se logró con la compra de este equipo, que fue alegrarle un poco el día a día a mi pequeña prima, para que añada otra consola a su colección. Un día de estos la sorprenderé con algo más, ya verán.
