My present/ C'est mon cadeau
A pleasant afternoon. Yesterday, I attended the birthday party of my former little neighbor whom I’ve mentioned many times; she insisted that I be there.
How could I disappoint a child? I canceled all my plans for the afternoon. My kids didn’t want to come to the party. They made me laugh by saying they are now too old for such things and preferred to go with their friends to the pool. Honestly, with this heat, I can’t blame them for their choice.
I dropped the boys off at the pool and then headed to the toy store. She wanted a big doll, so I chose the largest one in the store and went straight to the little party, not forgetting the gift she had ordered in advance.
When I arrived, the atmosphere was lively: the little friends, cousins, family, and friends were all there.
The little girl was glowing with happiness among all these people; she was the little princess of the day.
As soon as she saw me, she rushed over to kiss me. What an adorable little girl!
Her mother, very warm, kept welcoming us.
All the cakes you see on the table were made by her, including the birthday cake. It’s huge, isn’t it? I wonder where she found the time to make everything and the patience to create the centerpiece.
I take my hat off to her; I acknowledge that she is truly talented.
Overall, we had a lovely afternoon. The little girl was happy to have all those she loves at her home and received a lot of gifts.

Un agréable après-midi. Hier, j'étais à l'anniversaire de mon ancienne petite voisine dont je vous ai parlé à maintes reprises ; elle a insisté pour que je sois de la partie.
Comment ne pas faire plaisir à un enfant ? J'ai annulé tout ce que j'avais prévu dans l'après-midi. Mes enfants ne voulaient pas venir à l'anniversaire. Ils m'ont fait rire en disant qu'ils sont désormais trop grands pour ce genre de choses et ont préféré aller avec leurs copains à la piscine. À vrai dire, avec cette chaleur, je ne peux pas les blâmer pour leur choix.
J'ai déposé les garçons à la piscine, puis je me suis dirigée vers le magasin de jouets. Elle voulait une grande poupée. J'ai donc choisi la plus grande du magasin et suis allée directement à la petite fête, en n'oubliant pas son cadeau qu'elle avait commandé à l'avance.
Quand je suis arrivée, l'ambiance battait son plein : les petites camarades, les cousins et cousines, la famille, les amis, tout le monde était là.
La petite rayonnait de bonheur au milieu de tout ce monde ; elle était la petite princesse de la journée.
Dès qu'elle m'a aperçue, elle s'est précipitée pour m'embrasser. Quelle adorable petite !
Sa maman, très chaleureuse, n'a pas arrêté de nous souhaiter la bienvenue.
Tous les gâteaux que vous voyez sur la table, c’est elle qui les a préparés, y compris le gâteau d’anniversaire. C’est énorme, non ? Je me demande où elle a trouvé tout le temps nécessaire pour tout faire et la patience pour réaliser la pièce maîtresse.
Je lui tire mon chapeau, je reconnais qu'elle est vraiment douée.
Dans l'ensemble on a passé un bel après-midi, la petite était heureuse de recevoir à la maison tous ceux qu'elle aime , et d'avoir reçu énormément de cadeaux.
