Watering the garden

Watering the garden at the Hollywood residence of Paul de Longpré, Hollywood Boulevard and Cahuenga Avenue c. 1902-1903

Paul de Longpré, a French painter of flowers, received the estate in exchange for three of his paintings from founder of Hollywood, Daeida Wilcox Beveridge.

By the late 1920s, the gardens and the house were razed as a result of Hollywood’s rapid urban development.
