Ride The Wave

There is a unique phenomenon happening on social media lately, and sometimes makes me wonder how does really things on social media can be trusted, or how credible those famous accounts on certain issue. Maybe those account are so biased, riding the wave just to get the engagement and then reaping profit out of the monetization program of the internet.

The recent issue was one of the accounts on X, which is debunk because of the stupid move the founder made, asking for a donation on X to pay royalty for the author of the book that they sold.

The account was so famous as it always rode the wave, mocking the government, and saying how bad some of the officials, especially the president and their family. I am not a fan of the president's and the family's move on the recent political issue, but I must admit that he has done a good job, leading this huge country, filled with ignorant people.

Back to the account founder, as they tried to open for donations, one of the netizens managed to get the information on how they manage the money on the company. And it turn out the money that should be used to pay the royalty to all the authors was used to pay for the founder's apartment mortgage payment. Which such a big irony, as they try to make ahuge critique over the government, on how they managed to money. But at the same time, they are the one eating other's people money, and when they need the money the ask the other to help them through donation.

Sometimes, those who ride the wave gaining traction on the issue on social media are the one who really the scumbag. Directing people opinion, but at the same time profiting with the chaos that they make, while at the same time they are only crook who the primary attention was just how to get money for their own pocket.
