Eleshnitsa Dam is located 60 km from the sea capital of Bulgaria, Varna. Eleshnitsa Dam was built in the period 1962-64.
It is mainly used to irrigate the lands of the villages of Tsonevo, Grozdevo and Dabravino. The dam is located on the Eleshnitsa river, a few kilometers east of the Tsonevo dam.
A lot of fish lovers are visiting in in order to catch the following fish: Redfin, mullet, perch, carp and pike.
It is quite a nice place to visit in summer but you have to be very careful because there are many snakes near it. I saw 2 and both were poisonous.
If you go there don't forget to bring you positive vibes :)
Cheers!
