The crown of Jakwa // Inkwell writing prompt

He never for once complaint about the life he live, he is always cheerful with what life has given to him, he was a gentle man, kind soul and a man everyone could trust and depends on, in times of needs.

His name was Prince Ebuka, His father was the king in the kingdom of Jakwa, a city filled with good an silver, as a Prince, they are servants who looks after your needs and care for you in any way you want but Prince Ebuka never for once allow any of his servant to cook for him nor do his choirs, he sees this kind of lifestyle as the one we called barbaric.

His father the king was not pleased with this lifestyle of his, but Ebuka could not listen, he was always on his own authority, when the king passed away, he was the rightful heir to the throne but he refused to be crown the king of Jakwa and insisted that the throne be given to another member of the community.

In the eyes of the elders of Jakwa community, it was an abomination, but Prince Ebuka enlighten them that, it is not an abomination, if he asked for the crown to be given to another member of the Community, it is only an abomination if only one family are known as king's family for the rest of their life.

His uncle was not in support of his decision and tends to say that, since Ebuka did not want to be the king of Jakwa community, he would rather take the crown and be made the king but no one in the community want him to be king since he was not to be trust.

Ebuka's uncle was known to be someone who would forcefully take something from another person if he is giving such privilege to become a king in the community of Jakwa, this was the very reason members of the community rejected him to become king, even while his brother the late king was alive he always disturb the peace of the town and tends to make members of the community to lived in fear.

"we can never allow, Asuquo to be the king of this kingdom" said by the elders.

Ebuka although he said he was not destined to be a king did not want any thing unpleasant to take place in Jakwa, so he went to his uncle Asuquo and talked to him to let the elders of the community to decide who would be their king for peace to reign and so as to restored peace and harmony in the land of Jakwa.

Asuquo was not pleased with this, he really wanted to chase the crown for himself to the last drop till the day he becomes the king, but when Ebuka his nephew talked to him, he began to have a different mindset towards the crown, he decided to give up on it, Ebuka was so happy that his uncle could listen to him for the benefit of the community.

The elders make their self a king and peace and harmony was restored in the land of Jakwa.
