Sophia had one of the smallest cake shops but her ambition to make it go big someday always kept her positive and over looked those who tried to discourage her to finding something else to do.

She had learned how to bake from her mother who only baked at home but never for commercial purposes. After schooling, Sophia decided to turn her mum's little store room into her small cake shop where she got a few customers and tried to manage herself.

Her mum left early so she had to take care of herself and baking was the only way she felt close to her dead mum, she worked hard day and night finding ways to take her baking skills to the next level regardless of the countless failures.

One of her moves to go big was making proposals to big names she came across finding who to sponsor her in achieving her goals.

A day came when she had no customer the whole day and was about to close her shop to go rest at home, a young man came with a contract for the big county fair coming up in some months time. Sophia couldn't believe what was happening, she had always wished to show her cake designs at the country fair but never got a chance to.

They both agreed on a good pay but she would gain more if she could get more eyes on her designs that day, the man made sure to let her know that.

Out of excitement, Sophia began to think of design ideas to create for that big day. She knew in her mind that the designs had got to be perfect for her dreams to come true, it was an opportunity she felt would get her out of her small cake shop.

Two weeks after the contract was made while Sophia was busy with creating more designs still looking for a perfect one, she got a visitor. Rosie, a young beautiful girl smiled at Sophia and begged her to teach her how to design and bake cakes. Sophia had never thought of having anyone learn from her skill as she had focused on making a big name with her skill only.

The two ladies looked at each other for sometime and Sophia agreed to take her in as an apprentice, the apprentice fee wasn't a good one as Sophie felt she didn't have to take much for what she got freely from her mum. Rosie began work immediately and the two bonded so well when Sophia saw that she was a fast learner.

Days turn into months and Rosie became like her boss, so passionate about making perfect looking cakes and she was able to use her social media influence to increase their number of customers. Sophia got so busy with a lot of orders while she prepared for the big day. Rosie found out about the contract from Sophia and they both decided to work on it together.

A few days to the big day, the two ladies came up with designs that Sophia called "Perfect" at the sight of them, Rosia was the brain behind most of them and Sophia who was way better at bringing the designs to live did her best too. They designed a lot of beautiful cakes and got ready for the county fair.

On the big day, Sophia got a call from the young man and he apologized that his company had hired someone else for the job but he had forgot to tell her that the contract is off since months ago. Sophia felt all her dreams smashed to the floor as she looked into space with the phone still on her ears, she burst into tears which got Rosie concerned and asked about the issue.

It turns out that Rosie's family would be attending the county fair to publicize their family business so Rosie asked her dad for a way out to help her boss, Sophia. Since the designs couldn't go to waste, Sophia accepted the help and they found themselves in the big ground for county fair activities.

There were a few cake designers around and Sophia's designs were much appreciated and applauded. She got a long list of contacts for future businesses at the county fair, she felt so indebted to her apprentice.

A few months later, Sophia got a new and bigger cake shop which one of her contacts helped her with by sponsoring her cake shop. Rosie's social media also contributed in making Sophia's cake shop go popular around the city. Sophia couldn't help but employ other skilled persons to take care of the countless orders daily.
