One day, while eating at the dining table with her parents. She said to her dad. "Dad, You remember how I said I ran for my school and won. I would like to join the sports team in my school. I want to be an athlete. It will be a good thing if you see your daughter one day as one of the best hurdles runners Nationwide. I need to practice."

"You do not jump into different things for the love of what exactly. Stick to what you are currently working on and come out great in that field". Her dad said.

"Dad, it's my final year in the medical field, so it is not like I will be having any difficulties". She said,

"Am certain she skips lectures daily just to practice in the field with other athletes. I just wonder what she sees in this running thing". Janie said.

After much debate on the subject with no direct conclusion. They silently continued with their food.

Months later, Juliet relocated to her Auntie's house to conduct some research for her thesis.

"Aunt Ann, are you aware of my zeal to become an athlete"? Juliet asked her aunt.

"I have heard your mom mentioned that to me not once, telling me to caution you on that choice"

"I want to be a athlete. I have been running since my childhood days and I know if I put in my effort to it, I will go a long way. But hope, am not going to be cautioned as instructed"? Juliet asked jokingly.

"I believe you are driven by something and I feel there is a need for us as family to support you in this your passion" Aunt Ann said and hugged Juliet with an assuring smile.

After completing her research, she complimented her aunt for her love and kind words.

"I believe so much in you, you are a goal getter. I know that one day, we will be watching you on TV winning athletic games on a roll. By then, your parents will be happy they never stopped you" aunt Ann said.

After Juliet returned home with Auntie Ann. Juliet's mum and dad were shocked at why Ann will follow big Juliet back home like an escort trying to protect her from any harm.

After some pleasantries and talks. Auntie Ann began trying to change Juliet's parents' minds on what they think about their daughter taking up two things at once. After trying for so long to convince them, they had no choice but to accept with the hope of seeing how Juliet will cope.

After her graduation, she went full into athletic games. She began intensive practices, going for competitions in the local levels. Most of which she wins on a roll. These little victories were not eye catching to her parents as they felt she's only wasting her effort.

One day, after practice, her coach informed her of a foreign competition coming up for all game lovers to participate. She returned home with excitement in her heart to show the competition form to her parents. Her parents not in support of this dream, denied to give her the required enrollment fee.

Ann took it upon herself to see her come out one of the best, she volunteered to give her money for the enrollment. She got the form and applied. Luckily she was selected to represent her state for the National Championship Game and to choose someone who she will like to go with her. Seeing how supportive her Auntie has been, chose her without second thought.

"Am ready to rock and roll on this trip with Auntie Ann. She has been amazing and one reason why I am what I have always wanted". Juliet said. Her parents, being speechless, hugged their daughter with tears rolling down her mum's cheek for not supporting her daughter's dream.
