Initially a ghost

When Lucy lost her only brother Ezekiel, it was hell for her, and she almost took her own life just to join him in the underworld. But thank God for her parents, who were there for her.

Often times she wished she could see him again, just one more time, to tell him how much she loved and missed him, how badly she'd been hurt, and how things were just not the same without him. But time, they say, heals wounds, and after 3 years she regained herself again, with sweet memories of her dear brother still on her mind.

Exactly 4 years after the death saga began, Lucy got an assignment from the company for which she works to visit their branch office in Comoros to see how they're operating, which she delightedly accepted.

The day for the said journey came; she arranged her things, wore a very simple dress, and set off for the airport.Along the way, she got held up in traffic, in which she spent almost an hour, but luckily for her, she left home early, so the time wasted didn't affect her.

She got to the airport, got scanned, and a way was made for her to enter the plane. She entered the hall and found everywhere filled, but she didn't bother because she knew that her seat was reserved, so she moved with her eyes on the ticket while gazing on the empty seats to locate her reserved seats. It didn't take her long to locate it, and just as she was about to step into the seat, she saw a familiar face beside the seat; she got shocked as she was trying to scream "Ezekiel" and fainted on the spot.

Alarm was raised immediately, and she was rushed to a corner while the medical team tried to revive her. The young man sitting beside her seat got curious on why she got shocked when she saw him, so he took it personally to make sure she's revived.

When the time to take off the flight reached and she was not yet revived, they decided to take her down so that other passengers could continue their journey. Her next-seat neighbor sacrificially decided to step down too, so as to make sure she's okay.

The revival process took almost an hour before she regained consciousness.

She woke up to meet the medical team surrounding her bed, and immediately, when she saw the young man, she slumped off again. The doctors noticed the situation and told the young man to excuse them, which he did. The doctors managed to bring her back to her conscious state again, and the first question they asked her after she was well settled was about the young man, which she told them was her dead brother. It sounded funny to the medical team, so they just behaved as if they didn't hear anything.

They put a call through to her dad, Mr. Hugo, to report the situation to him, while they also went outside to ask the young man if he knew the reason why the lady screamed upon seeing him.
The man was shocked because he knew nothing about the whole scenario.

They were still discussing when Lucy's dad stepped in, and immediately he saw the young man. He got shocked because he just saw the spirit of his dead son, so he ran off into hiding while the man got more curious and ran after him.

Lucy's dad, upon seeing the young man running after him, began to scream "Ghost! Ghost! Ghost!" which got people's attention and the multitude gathered around them.

It was later found out that the young man is the son of Mr. Hugo, who was born out of wedlock without him knowing. The young man who revealed his name as Reuben was born and brought up in Comoros by her single mother, who died of breast cancer. Before her death, she told Reuben how he could locate his dad, and she handed him an old photograph containing the two of them (Mr. Hugo and Reuben's mom).
Mr. Hugo went into tears when Reuben showed him the photo.
He was born exactly the same year as late Ezekiel, and the resemblance is topnotch; anybody would have taken them for identical twins had Ezekiel not passed away.

All these happened in the absence of Lucy, so when she was told, she found it odd to believe because her parents (especially her dad) never mentioned having another son outside the home.Even when she wasn't pleased with her dad, she also became happy because she'd found a replacement for his late, lovely brother.

After the whole incident, Lucy got her trip rescheduled by her company, and Reuben decided to settle in with the family.
