I was seated with Emily at the restaurant where we decided to catch up with each other. We haven't seen each other for 4 days.
"Bring it on, don't leave behind any details" she was beaming with intense steer with those her blues eyes.
"I got nothing to tell you, we just spent some time together"
"Without kissing" she picked out, as it was exactly what she wanted to hear.
"Yes we did"
I could see the happiness beam from her eyes like she won a lottery. Come to think of it, Jerry still cares about you.
"Drop that Starry, that brat is a cheat. I got him red-handed. She beamed with tears in her eyes. She was happy a few minutes ago. Now she is all teary, I regretted bringing up the topic and seeing my best friend cry. But deep down I feel that Jerry wasn't capable of hurting her.
" Everything is going to be fine Emily, I tried consoling her.
"Hey! What do you think about Halloween?" I have no plans, come on let's get into doing some shopping. She dragged me out of the restaurant as we hit the road, stopping by at a plaza.
"I will choose this one" she indicated,a costume with a banana shape.
"Yanky banana princess", I tease her.
I hovered over and chose the vampire, it was scary but I loved it. What will be Jackson and Jerry's costume, I thought to myself. We put on our costumes as Emily drove the car, reaching the venue we were bumped onto high pitch music and sweaty body as we kept saying thousands of excuses to pass through. Everyone had their scary attire, some were putting on witch costumes and they evenly decorated their faces to a scary tune. Reaching to the kitchen where there were not many people encircling, I looked out to see whether I could find Jackson unable to find it. I motioned to Emily that I was going to get a drink. Coming back I saw Nancy speaking to Emily. This is going to turn out bad as I raced to save my bestfriend who was exchanging words with the person who she thought slept with her boyfriend.
"I couldn't get enough of him, you interrupted those happy moments" she blasted out.
"Go get yourself some dude" you little witch. She voices out.
It got hitted up as Nancy kept saying annoying words more and more, I felt irritated and Emily couldn't take it anymore she ran out. I chased after her as I found her in the backyard crying.
"It was all my fault, I shouldn't have left-
"It's fine, you did nothing wrong, it's not your fault don't blame yourself"
She kept sobbing on my shoulder as I patted her back, I allowed her to voice out all as she kept on talking, I was right beside her to console her . That was the least I could do at that moment. It was late at night, the music was loud and we were encroached by darkness. I looked out and saw a distant light, it was shining close but not too close.
"Hey! Emily, you need to see this"
She raised her head and farrowed her eyes to the place I was pointing at, she gasped." What is that? Let's check it out." We embarked on a journey to know where the light was coming from, it was creepy but we insisted on finding it as curiosity got the best of us. We kept going down to the direction of light, the light was nearer when we stood at the back of the party house but now we are some miles away as we wouldn't hear the sound of the music blasting out but some creepy sounds of some sort of animals.
"Emily, let's go back, we are heading into the forest, we don't even know where we are going."
"Come on, we are close, let's find out where the light is coming from. She said
I was tense and couldn't hold on, I waited back as Emily kept moving on, before I could remove what was held strapped on my shoes. I lost Emily. She was far long gone into the forest as panic sweat over me and my heart kept bombing in the rib cage. I could feel sweat at the back of my neck. Emily I called out but no response. I kept following the directions of the light, every single noise was creepy and scary. I shouldn't have embarked on this, now I lost my friend and in the middle of nowhere, who's going to help me? I thought.
I stumbled on something and fell, standing up I looked back to see a tomb block. With open eyes, Jeezz! a graveyard. I came for a Halloween party now stuck in the middle of nowhere and can't find my bestfriend. I was sweating profusely and I was scared to my spine.
"Starry! Come see this" she called out. I moved in the direction where my best friend was, Thank goodness I found her. Shoving my eyes to the direction she was pointing. I screamed and passed out.
