The ink well fiction. MUMMY'S DAY OFF.

Mr Johnson walked into the house with his mouth wide open.

He couldn't believe he was in his house.

Hay Daddy welcomed his 3-year-old Miranda and ran to hug him but he couldn't repel so he accepted to hug her and by the time he was done with her he discovered his navy blue shirt was stained with golden morn.

Mr Johnson had to tiptoe in his own house as he tried to jump the mess the children had made of the sitting room. His two other children did not even notice his presence as they both were busy with that park of cornflakes they were using to play.

Jeeezz!!! He exclaimed, Baby he screamed at the top of his voice referring to his wife but there was no response. He walked to the kitchen as the kitchen looked like it was turned upside down and the dishes were disheveled. The fridge was left open with milk spilt all over the fridge; he couldn't believe his house was in this condition.

He made his way to the bedroom where the star case was littered with the uniform of the children. As soon as they came back they pulled and threw them as they made their way to their room to change into something personal.

He decided to pick the uniforms and mad3 his way to his children's room but it was worse as the room was filled with clothes all around. They threw out clothes from the wardrobe as they searched for what they wanted to wear.

Mr Johnson almost ran mad as the entire house was in a mess, what had she been doing all this while? Where is she he asked? A shout from downstairs brought his attention back.

Daddy!!!!!! Miranda screamed and he quickly ran to see what was happening. One of her siblings was with the TV remote. Please give it to her. He said as he walked down she screamed more when she could not get it. Mr Johnson became even more confused as he did know not what to attend to.

He was almost running mad just within the past 5-7 minutes he entered the house.

Where is your mum? He asked the eldest of them all.

I don't know if she replied as she continued with what she was doing. This told her mind was fully concentrated on her TV show.

Mr Johnson walked up and into the bedroom, well arranged with a sweet fragrance, his bed sheets well laid and his wife was comfortably laying on the bed with her headphones on. She did not even notice his presence as the music she played was all over her.

He angrily walked to her and pulled the headphones. What do you think you are doing and why is the house in this mess?

What have you been doing today?

She looked at him and replied.

"That which you said I don't use to do, I decided not to do it today."

The answer brought his mind back to previous days when he would come and meet his wife in the same manner he met her but the house is the opposite of what it is today.

But instead of appreciating the rather will ask this question.

" What have you done today? You sit at home and do nothing instead you will be on the phone from morning till night.

That's when it came to him that his wife has been doing a whole lot more than he thinks of her.

He took it upon himself to carry out that day's task; he was amazed at how long it took him to fix all these things. From that day henceforth he began to appreciate his wife's effort in keeping the house in good condition.
